DESCRIPTION OF BOARD GAME TINY EPIC: VIKINGS

 No matter how much you strive to live a normal life at last, adventures will still catch up: this time they will rush you between icy fjords and cold Runic Islands! This is a place where brave warriors and talented craftsmen live: collectors, explorers, builders - multiply your bearded virtues and unbridled courage among the Viking clans, win the favor of the gods, go sailing on glorious drakes and conquer new and new lands!

 We are adding to the well-known series of Tiny Epic games from Scott Olms, and now we will remind you about the recent Ukrainian localization of another excellent strategy by his authorship - the duel balance game "Beer and Bread".

THREE AGES UNDER THE WATCHFUL EYE OF A RAVEN

 So, let's move on to the structure of the game: we will track the Viking realities of life during as many as three eras, each of which will have its own separate phases.

• First, let's choose the cards: we take one Viking card from among those received and pass the rest of the cards around the players (the direction of movement will depend on the era being played). We repeat this action until only one card is handed to you. Now your squad of the bravest is assembled, so let's get into action!
• Let's perform the moves in turn, starting with the leader. Each turn, we skillfully play a Viking card from our hand, that is, we live a generation of the clan and determine the leaders of this generation. We can play a doli-face card (start a battle) or a gori-face card (perform the action of a leader and/or rune). If a battle is started, we fight: we turn over the last card and compare the strength with the cards of other players. If the battle is not started, then we swim (move our ship, raid a village, move settlers from the tablet to the island, paying for each action with resources), do research with settlers or build something. In any case, we arrange the cards in a row from left to right.
• Let's end the era and prepare for a new one - send all the cards to the reset and go to a new game round.

 Often, you can also perform additional actions. For example, when you capture a village, you can immediately dedicate it to one of the gods, gaining his favor. To do this, place the village in one of the dedication cells and perform bonus actions.

RESOURCES AND RUNES

 Viking resources are as harsh as their realities! For existence and survival, we will do with only three types: food, wood and steel, which we will mark with the corresponding token on the track on the clan tablet. No matter how much you adore yourself, do not attempt the impossible: you will not pull more than seven resources of each type - protect the most valuable thing you have - your back!

 In addition to resources, you will also use three types of runes, each of which is in the area of responsibility of one of the gods. You will receive them for playing the Viking card or for gaining control over the islands, in the active state, and take from the favor cards, in the passive state. Pay attention to the runes, because they are symbols of power that can improve your abilities or allow you to perform special actions. And passive runes are a component of your future victory! Score victory points when the third phase of the third era is played, crediting yourself the appropriate amount for runes from islands and separately for runes from favor cards.
