DESCRIPTION OF BOARD GAME THE CASTLES OF BURGUNDY: 20TH ANNIVERSARY

 The events of "Castles of Burgundy" take place in the region of medieval France. Players, acting as aristocrats, rule small principalities, building settlements, strong castles, practicing river trade, developing mines and using the knowledge of travelers. The principalities are represented in the game by the personal fields of the players, spread out in a hexagon. During the game, hexagons are filled with settlement tiles. Each tile has its own purpose, and they start working when they appear on the field.

 Castles of Burgundy is one of Stefan Feld's best games. Economic strategy with original mechanics conquers players from the very first minutes of the game. Balanced, logical rules, moderate competition and a variety of strategies satisfy the needs of any player (the game is great for players of all levels).

 A special love for this game is awakened by elegant mechanics - the result of the dice allows us to choose many actions from which whole combinations can be built. POSSIBLE ACTIONS

 The basis of the game is the roll of two six-sided dice, the value of which determines the possible actions of the player for this turn. For example, after rolling a 2 and a 5, a player can use the "two" to purchase a watchtower and place it on the "fifth" tile of the city, which will allow the tower to be used with additional advantages. Players can influence the value of the dice, which reduces the effect of luck. The rules of the game include two options - for beginners and for experienced players.

JUBILEE EDITION IN HONOR OF THE TWENTY-FIRST ANNIVERSARY

 Having appeared in the distant 2011, Stefan Feld's game became a real hit, and in 2019, an anniversary edition was released. It includes the base game and 8 add-ons. Reworked art will emphasize your aristocracy as much as possible, and new components will give you a lot of fun.

 The first addition includes new player playing fields. As before, you place the tiles next to the previously laid out ones, but at the same time they must be directly or indirectly (through tokens of the same color) combined with at least one castle. The second expansion adds Parks, Goats, Duty and Worker hexes. After adding a park to your principality, you can use it like any other building. The player who placed the corresponding tile in his fief becomes the first in line.

 The third and seventh supplements include exclusive courses designed by Stefan Feld for the 2013 and 2016 German Championship Regional Qualifiers. The fourth addition contains a game field with a monastery. In the fifth expansion, the Garden of Pleasure awaits you - 9 garden tiles and 1 knowledge tile. The expansion was released in limited edition for the 2014 Stadt Land Spielt event.

 The sixth expansion includes 6 monastery tiles. Being placed in the player's fiefdom, they change the rules and give different advantages. The eighth expansion that was part of Notre Dame: 10th Anniversary was the only map expansion. In the anniversary edition, the Trade Routes map has been replaced with beautiful and practical tokens, so you don't have to worry about protectors. Players do not place tiles of sold goods on tablets, but lay them out on tokens to receive various bonuses.

 Thanks to the components of the ninth supplement, you will be able to play with two teams. Previously, it was part of the coolest set "Brettspiel Adventskalender 2017" from Frosted Games, which included 25 mini-addons for 25 different games. The tenth expansion includes a two-sided playing field for solo mode.
