DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME CATAN 

"Catan" is a bestseller that has conquered the whole world. The game Catan: Trade, build, settle has sold millions of copies and has received many awards. It is worth noting that this board game was one of the first after the famous Monopoly to appear on the Ukrainian market. Invented in 1994, "The Colonizers" still remains a gem in the board game universe. COLONISTS ON THE ISLAND

 The game begins with us creating an island of hexes (hexagonal blocks) on which settlers land to establish a thriving colony. Hexes represent areas of the island where players will mine resources (wood, clay, wheat, wool, and ore) and develop their colony by building settlements, cities, and roads.

 Competition for resource-rich territories or access to the sea forces players to plan several steps ahead, and to be prepared to change their plans if something goes wrong.

THE TORN PATH TO VICTORY

 The winner is the player who first scores 10 victory points, which are awarded for the settlements and cities built, for the longest road and the largest army, and for the developments in their settlements. Diplomacy at the game table, trade and construction, successful exchanges and resource shortages, branching roads and competition for resources, uninvited robbers - all this awaits the settlers who have landed on the island of Catan.

 The strategy game Catan can only compete with Carcassonne in terms of scale and popularity. It is easy to learn, ideal for family and friends to play, and, as already mentioned, you want to play it again and again, whether in an attempt to make up for past failures or in an effort to reach new heights in the difficult craft of a colonizer.
