DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME PALEO

 Even before the construction of huts and cultivation of resources in the Stone Age, humanity faced many difficulties and trials. Now it stands near the origins of its development. In the Paleo game, players, representing communities of the same tribe, will try to explore the wild together, make discoveries, fight predators and fight off enemy tribes.

THREE MILLION YEARS AGO

 Paleo is a cooperative game, which means that players must work together to leave their mark on history in the form of a rock painting. To win, players must completely assemble the 5-piece rock painting. In the case of bad decisions and unfortunate coincidences, players will receive skull tokens and lose as soon as the number of these skulls on the corresponding board equals five.

 A modular game that will allow you to play many unique games without losing the excitement. From the 10 modules included in the game, 7 unique scenarios have already been collected (2 of the 10 possible modules in each), and players who want to diversify the game even more can shuffle the modules as they like, creating their own stories.

 Having prepared three tablets at the beginning of the game: Big Cave, Wild Places and Overnight, as well as placing a voluminous Workshop next to it, players choose cards from two modules of the corresponding plot and add them to the main deck. In the Great Cave, players will be able to find their relatives, see dreams and create new inventions; in the Wild Places, players will encounter animals and events, and on the Overnight tablet, players will track their progress and progress through the story.

AND THERE WAS DAY AND THERE WAS NIGHT

 The game takes place in rounds, each of which consists of two phases: day and night. During the day, players experience various events: they go in search of food, invent, invite new members to their community, prevent dangers and try to scratch the dream figure of a mammoth on a rock.

 At the start of the day phase, players shuffle the main deck and deal roughly the same number of cards to each. Each turn, players will simultaneously select 1 of the top 3 cards of their deck to draw, guided only by the image on their shirts. Among the cards, players will find Forest, River, Mountains, Native Cave, Dangers and much more. Each type of map promises its corresponding events: meeting animals or wandering in the Forest, obscure events and enemies on the danger maps and new members of the community or advancing the story in the Native Cave.

 Players simultaneously open cards and play events on them in the order convenient for them. Many events will allow you to obtain resources or allow you to help other players in obtaining them. More often than not, you will have to sacrifice something to get something, and surprise cards will make you lose health or resources, unless of course you can resist them.

 At night, players try to feed their communities and perform actions on task cards. For failure to complete the tasks, players face fines in the form of skull tokens, which bring them closer to failure.

 After the night phase is played, a new day begins: players prepare a deck of events and deal cards again.

WHO IS THE GAME FOR?

 Paleo is a great game for getting to know the primitive society, which will allow you to feel the spirit of exploration, development and survival. The game is perfect for teaching the younger generation and cozy evenings in the family circle, as well as for companies of experienced board players who are tired of competitions and want to at least sometimes win (or lose) all together.
