 Behind the Throne is a fast-paced card game for 2-4 players, where participants in the role of cunning schemers and behind-the-scenes puppeteers will manipulate numerous courtiers and even the king and queen himself to get all the power in their hands.

 The cards of the deck consist of nine characters ("suits") of different denominations with unique abilities. At the beginning of the game, the entire deck is shuffled and placed in the center of the table. Players take turns and each in his turn must draw cards from the deck, one by one, and compare their numerical values.

If the number of the new card is less than the previous one, the player can continue to draw new cards, and if not - all the drawn cards are discarded. If the player decides to stop, all the drawn cards are placed in his personal stock, being distributed in piles according to increasing numbers.

 On the next turn, the player will be able to use the received characters, which allow you to modify the value of the cards and draw them more and more. For example, the general reduces the number on the last card by "3", and the jester reduces it by one. But there's a catch!" - a player can only use a character's ability if he has more cards of that character than any other player. There are also a few restrictions: each character can only be used once per turn, and a player can only place five characters out of nine in your area By activating one or another property and making different combinations of characters, the player will build his winning strategy to get as many cards as possible into character stacks.

 The interaction between players in the game Behind the Throne is expressed in the ability to deprive opponents of their cards and exchange cards with them.

 At the end of the game, participants receive victory points equal to the sum of the highest denomination cards of all their stacks. The player with the highest value is the winner!
