DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME NIGHTINGALE OKASIA

 The dialects of different regions of Ukraine change even within the same region, our nightingale language is so rich! Try using the association board game "Nightingale Occasion" not only to test your knowledge, but also to learn a lot of new idioms and dialect words that you may not have heard before. We are improving our Ukrainian in the game!

 According to the rules, the game is very similar to the hit board "Dixit", and yet, thanks to its theme and qr-codes on the back of each card, which leads to the help page of one or another dialectic, it definitely deserves a place in the game library of every Ukrainian family.

PREPARATION FOR THE GAME

 Give all players a set of voting tokens in the number of party members. Place another set in a row on the table, so that later the cards received by the presenter can be laid out next to each token.

 All players receive 6 random cards in their hand and keep them secret from the rest of the participants. The rest of the deck makes up the stock, from which the participants will replenish the cards in their hand.

 Find a notebook or sheet of paper and a pencil to record your victory points.

 Identify the first player in any convenient way and start the game!

GAME PROCESS

 During the game, each player in turn will be the presenter, who will choose one of the dialecticism cards in his hand and invent an association to it.

 The goal of the presenter is to make the association apt and clear, but not too simple. If the association can be guessed by all the participants, the presenter will not receive victory points, so the goal should be that the association can be guessed by one or more, but by no means all participants.

 The dialecticism maps on the front side contain the word dialecticism itself and a few examples of its use in sentences, but not the interpretation. The explanation can be obtained by scanning the qr code on the back of the card. We advise you to scan them only after completing the round, because learning new words is one of the highlights of the game.

THE ASSOCIATION CANNOT BE

• A cognate word to dialecticism on the map;
• A synonym or antonym for a word;
• Cannot interpret a word, describe its meaning;
• It cannot contain personal information that is not known to all participants.

 As soon as the association is named, all participants also choose among their cards the most suitable for the association named by the host and pass the selected cards to the host. The presenter shuffles the received cards and lays them out in front of him in a row of cards.

 Next, all participants use tokens to vote for the card that they consider to be the leader's card.

 For each player who correctly guessed the presenter's card, he will receive 2 points. But if no one guessed the association, or on the contrary, everyone, the presenter does not get points.

 Each player who correctly pointed to the presenter's card also receives 2 points. Participants whose card was voted as the host card receive 1 bonus point.

 The cards used in the round are discarded, the participants choose new cards for their hand, and the role of the leader is transferred further in the circle.

 At the end of the game, the participant with the most points wins.

GAME OPTIONS

 Even if the rules say to play only one round of moves, nothing prevents you from continuing the game and playing further up to a certain number of rounds or victory points. In addition, you can agree on the number of cards in the hand of the participants to facilitate their choice of associations.
