DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME SALEM 1692 

  At the beginning of the party, guests will wonder what kind of ancient tome is on your shelf? What is Salem? But just let that gun go off, and you won't feel how excited everyone is about Salem, a medieval town in Massachusetts where witchcraft reigns and at any minute someone can accuse anyone (maybe just you?) of casting terrible spells!

  If you have drawn the witch card from the judgment cards, there is nothing left but to become a witch for real and kill all those nasty townspeople! The townspeople will win if they manage to expose all the witches, that is, reveal all those marked with such an inscription from among the judgment cards. The fact is that the plot card will constantly move the judgment cards between you, so it's possible that your witchy powers will awaken in the middle of the game... or that someone you trusted so sincerely will suddenly become a witch!

ARE YOU SURE THAT SHE IS NOT A WITCH?

  So, welcome to Salem, a hidden role game where bluffing, deduction, trickery and all the skills you've cultivated while playing the classic Mafia game with your friends rule the roost. Great news: even if there are many of you and you dream of playing board games together, in Salem your dream will come true, this game can bring together up to 12 players at the table!

  The first thing you need to do here is to choose the most responsible person among you who will tell everyone to close or open their eyes. Whether he or she will be a full-fledged host, directing the actions of the players during the day and night phases and not taking part in the game, or playing alongside you and acting as a narrator, there are options here.

  We check the table, determine the number of roles needed for the game, and distribute court cards to each of them. Everyone will secretly look through their own, and then put them in a row in front of them. Someone will get the role of a witch, someone will become a constable, others will turn into ordinary residents of the city. However, be aware that during the same game, if fate so decides, you will be able to visit both a witch and a constable trying to save the player at night! You will also receive special town hall cards that will reward your characters with exceptional abilities.

HOW TO PLAY

  You start your game at dawn, which only comes once in the entire game. During this phase, the witches give the black cat card to someone invisibly to the other players. The player who gets the evil cat will go first in the morning. He can only do one of two things:

•    draw two cards and complete your turn (the black card is immediately played!), or
•    direct the action of at least one card to one of the other players.

  The cards in the game are graded by color: the green ones must be discarded immediately after they are played, the blue ones remain on the table in front of the player until he dies or the card is neutralized by another card, and the red ones lie on the field until the player draws 7 accusations in a row. Then one of the court cards that the player has will be revealed, and all the red cards will finally be discarded.

  Your character's death will occur when all of your judgment cards are revealed, or if one of the revealed judgment cards is a witch, or when the witches kill you at night. Will you manage to protect your life in this turbulent world? Try checking it out, so… have a nice game in Salem!
