DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME YINSH 

 The fourth game in the series of abstract strategy games «GIPF Project». «Inish» is a reference to «yin» and «yang» – fundamental concepts of ancient Chinese philosophy. The name also emphasizes the classical spirit of the game and perfectly conveys its essence. We are waiting for the confrontation of two opposites – white and black, familiar from chess and checkers.

YIN YANG

 Players lay out a hexagonal grid on the table. Double-sided chips are placed next to it. The first player receives five white rings, the second - five black. Participants take turns placing a ring at the intersection points of the lines.

HOW TO PLAY

 The goal of the game: be the first to remove three rings from the field. A continuous line of five chips allows you to remove 1 ring. On your turn, the player takes a chip and places it in a free ring. Then you need to move the ring in a straight line to any free space. If there are chips in front of the ring, the player can jump over it. Such chips turn over and change their color.

BLACK AND WHITE DRAGON VS SNOW CLOUD

 Like two beginnings that balance each other, the game evens out the strengths of the opponents. As soon as one player builds a winning combination and removes the ring from the field, he is close to victory, but his options are narrowing. Now the opponent can take advantage of the situation and equalize the score. Thus, the problem of the “snowball”, when a player breaks ahead and increases the chances of victory, has been solved. No doubt, leadership is nice, but a true strategist always knows when to give it to an opponent for a short time. It is also interesting that solutions that work well in one situation can turn out to be disastrous in another. The whole game requires a sense of balance, represented here by the idea of “yin” and “yang”.

SLOW TIGER

 If you want to make the game more dynamic, use this version of the game. The rules are practically unchanged. Instead of three rows, now it is enough to collect one and get a winning ring.
