DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME GIPF

HIP FIP, HIP FIP HOORAY!

 Like all ingenious, the rules are extremely simple. Players take turns placing their chips on the board, trying to form a line of four chips. If a player manages to form a line, they take away their opponent's chips in the same row.

BASIC VERSION

 Participants start with 15 chips. Three of them are located in the corners of the field, and the remaining 12 form a reserve. You can move the chips on your line. Having laid out a line of four chips, the player can return them to his reserve. The goal of the game: to be the first to deprive the opponent of all the chips in the reserve.

STANDARD

 Each player receives 18 chips. Gipf chips are also introduced into the game. These are stacks of chips consisting of two white or two black chips. Each player starts the game with three gipf chips in the corners of the field. When a gipf chip is part of a line, it does not have to be removed. If the player decides to remove such a chip from the field, it goes into the reserve like two regular ones. A new victory condition is added. Now you need to take at least one gipf chip from the opponent.

GIPF TOURNAMENT

 This variant is a combination of the two previous ones. Participants start the game with an empty field. Players take turns laying out any number of hyph chips. After that, only regular chips can be laid out. The winning conditions are the same as in the "Standard" variant.

ENDLESS MIND GAMES

 Components from different games in the series can be combined with each other. For example, if you managed to win a chip in the game "Zertz", then in "Gypf" you will have an additional chip with unique properties. You can experiment with the components as you wish. It is no coincidence that tasks are created for the games in the series and all kinds of tournaments are held.
