DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME BUNNY KINGDOM
O bravest lord, are you ready to conquer a new world in the name of the Rabbit King? Explore new lands, build cities and farms, complete royal missions and earn precious golden carrots, and then maybe you will have the honor of becoming the "Big Ears" of the Rabbit King. Are you worthy of this noble title?
In the new strategy game Rabbit Kingdom, we play the role of subjects of the Rabbit King. Our task is to earn as many points as possible in the form of golden carrots and thus bring the Rabbit Kingdom to prosperity.
At the core of the game is the draft mechanic. There are four rounds of cards being exchanged, with the help of which we expand our possession and adjust the extraction of resources. At the end of each round, based on the strength and wealth of our possessions, points are awarded. When calculating the final results, completed royal missions and acquired treasures are also taken into account.
WHAT'S IN THE BOX?
Bunny Kingdom is an extremely beautiful game. The bright playing field is divided into cells and designed in the spirit of computer strategies. The set also includes a deck of cards with expressive illustrations and a set of tokens. But the main thing that attracts attention are cute plastic miniatures: cities of three power levels and many colorful rabbits. It is worth opening the box, and immediately you want to send these cute animals to conquer new lands.
RABBITS, FORWARD!
Preparation for the conquest will not take much time. We place the playing field in the center of the table, we place the cities of the first level of power on the cells marked with cities. Each player receives rabbits of the chosen color. We put other figures, tokens and a deck of cards next to the field, and ... voila - you can start!
As already mentioned, the basis of the Kingdom of Rabbits is a draft, or the exchange of playing cards. They are of several types:
- Territory maps with cell coordinates give ownership of land. Having played such a card, the participant places a rabbit according to the specified coordinates, and now this cell belongs to him. Adjacent cells of the player are combined into one possession.
- Construction cards are played to build various structures. Basically, these are farms and cities, which are necessary for calculating victory points. Also, training camps can be very useful, allowing you to temporarily take over an empty plot without the necessary map of the territory.
- Supply cards allow you to draw and immediately play two additional cards from the deck.
- Parchment cards are revealed during the final scoring. There are two types of scrolls: treasures have a fixed value, and missions require the fulfillment of certain conditions.
The game lasts four rounds. At the beginning of a new round, everyone gets 10 or 12 cards, depending on the number of players. Participants choose two cards and play them, and pass the rest to a neighbor. When all the cards are played, the construction phase comes, and then the collection of golden carrots (scoring points). The sum of points for each possession is equal to the total strength of its cities multiplied by wealth (the number of different types of resources).
At the end of the last round, the parchment cards are revealed and the final tally of the results takes place. This is a rather responsible process that is recommended to be entrusted to the most experienced player. The winner is awarded the title of "King's Big Ears", and a picturesque rabbit kingdom appears on the game table.
