DESCRIPTION OF BOARD GAME LORDS OF WATERDEEP

 The Forgotten Realms universe, well known to all Dungeons&Dragons fans, welcomes players to the great city of Waterdeep. A meeting in a luxurious city will be a real surprise for D&D fans - it's all the fault of the mechanics of worker placement and execution proposed by the authors. Players act as Lords who seek glory and greatness. Throughout the game, lord players will have to hide behind a mask, plot, recruit mercenaries for tasks, all for one goal: to earn as many prestige points as possible.

AGENTS

 Each lord has several trusted agents at his disposal. Through the hands of these agents, the Lords control the processes without revealing themselves. Each game round, and there are eight of them in the game, the lord players will take turns sending one agent into the city to complete the task.

 The main source of prestige is tasks - they are quests. In the upper part of the pride is the "Cliffwatch Inn" tavern - this is a place where you can choose a task for which a good reward awaits you. In order to complete the task, you will need mercenaries: warriors, magicians, thieves and clerics - their recruitment takes place in the central part of the city. There, in the center, you can replenish your treasury with gold coins.

INTRIGUES AND BUILDINGS

 In order to have complete control over the Lords, it is necessary to weave intrigues - this is best done in the port. Playing the card of intrigue and getting benefits in material form or in the form of creating problems for opponents is part of the struggle for power. Intrigue is very useful in that after all agents' actions are completed, the scheming agent can be given another assignment in that round.

 There are not many places in the city where you can send an agent on a mission, but this problem is solved by the construction of buildings. In the Builder's Hall, there is always an offer to build one of three objects. A constructed building is a new action available and a source of prestige points if visited by opposing agents.

EXECUTION OF TASKS

 Tasks received in the Tavern can be completed at any moment during the player's turn. If the required amount of resources (Mercenaries, Gold) has been accumulated in the player's reserves to complete the task - it is considered completed: pay the necessary resources into the general reserve and receive a reward. A completed task can have a permanent effect - place such a card on the right side of your personal tablet and receive bonuses every time the condition is met.

IT'S TIME TO DISCOVER THE CARDS

 At the end of 8 rounds, players have to reveal their Lord card and count prestige points. The Lord's Map, received at the beginning of the game, contains information about the accrual of prestige points for completed tasks of a certain type (five types of tasks in total) or constructed buildings. All the cards are open, the prestige is determined - it's time to announce the winner.

WHO IS THE GAME FOR?

 The board game Lords of Waterdeep is an unexpected solution to the fantasy universe, accustomed to atmospheric battles, to put the euro on the rails: prestige points, wooden cubes and worker exposure. The gameplay takes place in a dynamic mode and with acceptable interaction: the struggle for the choice of actions, plus intrigue cards, can disrupt carefully planned plans. We recommend all D&D fans to experience the Euro in the atmosphere of the Forgotten Realms universe, as well as for fans of strategies based on the mechanic of posting workers.
