DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME TOBAGO

 It is not known who first chose this small island nestled near the shores of Venezuela - whether it was the greedy Spaniards who needed a transshipment base on the way to the Old World, or filibusters who found a convenient place for their pirate "raspberry" on this patch of land. Be that as it may, the land here hides a lot of gold and silver jewels, whose owners have long since melted away at the bottom of the ocean, and therefore will not return for them.

 So we have an island, scattered scraps of a treasure map and several greedy treasure hunters, each of whom sleeps and sees how he can outrun his rivals and grab more gold.

GAME PROCESS

 The gameplay in Tobago is built very interestingly. The triangular field consists of 6 segments, which can be assembled in a new way every time and get a new version of the island. The entire space is divided into hexagonal cells; each cell belongs to a certain type of landscape (there are six of them in the game - beach, jungle, river, wasteland, lake, mountains). Somewhere among this magnificence, the desired chests are buried, and in order to find them, players take turns laying out key cards that narrow the search circle. At some point, the location of the treasure becomes obvious, and the treasures (marked by gold coin cards) are dug up by whoever reaches them first. This player has a significant advantage when distributing the spoils.

 As soon as the box with gold rises from the pit, the ``deal'' begins, and here it can happen that a nightmarish ancient curse is hidden among the gold and stones. Of course, you will not die, but you will lose a lot of gold. Several ancient statues stand on the island, which periodically turn around their axis with a roar. In the direction where they look, mysterious amulets appear on the ocean shore, which must be collected if there is such an opportunity. They give good bonuses and can soften the effect of the curse.

END OF THE GAME

 The game ends when all cards from the treasure deck have been removed. The winner is the player who managed to collect the largest number of gold coins on the collected cards.
