DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME OTHER
"Inis" sends players to the days of the ancient Celts, where they have to lead their clans and lead to an unknown island across the sea. Every leader believes that he is worthy of power on this island ... Time will judge them all. Players must control clans, control lands, build citadels and sanctuaries, enjoy privileges, controlled lands, and, of course, participate in battles.
TERRITORY CONTROL
The game takes place on a playing field consisting of modules (tiles) of a peculiar shape. Each tile is a separate area where clans of any number can be located. In order to get a map of the privileges of a particular territory, it is necessary to become a leader over the clans in this area - to have a quantitative advantage of clan figures. The more territories you have under your control, the more cards you will have available in the round to draw.
CARDS IN OTHER
Despite the presence of the playing field and clan figures, the mechanics of the game are tied to the cards. Each round you will have 4 cards from the deck of action, cards of privileges, according to the controlled territories and cards of the epic.
The original draft of action cards deserves special attention:
- Players receive 4 cards from the deck;
- Each player chooses one card, and the other three passes to a neighbor;
- From 4 cards (3 cards received and one left) players choose two, and the remaining two are passed to the neighbor;
- From 4 cards (2 cards received and 2 postponed) players choose three, and one is passed to the neighbor.
At the end of the round, after all the cards have been drawn, everything else on the cards must be discarded, except for the epic cards.
MEETINGS BEFORE THE SEASON
Each round of the game consists of two phases: the Meeting phase and the Season phase. In the Meeting phase, players appoint the first player (Brenn), check the conditions of victory among the contenders, determine the order of the move, all receive action cards, and leaders receive advantage cards.
The most important part of the game is the Seasons phase. It is in this phase that the main events in the game take place. Players play their cards and perform various actions and effects described in the text of the card: moving clans, adding clans, building citadels and shrines, declaring battles in the region and much more. Only in this phase can players receive a candidate token (if one of the goals is met).
DISASSEMBLY OF THE ANCIENT CELTICS
It is difficult to count on winning the game, relying only on peaceful expansion. Be prepared for battles that could change the balance of power on the playing field and change the leader in the region. You should also skillfully avoid battles if you are at a disadvantage: use citadels and diplomacy to end battles. You will need action cards in battles, so try to save them, otherwise you will be a sweet prey for your opponents.
VICTORY IN THE GAME
To win the game, the player must take the contender's token (in the seasons phase). The applicant's token can be obtained if the player has fulfilled one of the conditions for winning the game:
-Under the player's control are 6 or more rival clans;
-Player clans are located in regions with 6 or more shrines
- The player's clans are located in 6 or more territories.
The received token of the applicant allows to take part in check of conditions of a victory at the beginning of the following round in a meeting phase. The winner is the player who has achieved great achievements when checking the conditions of victory.
It is worth noting that during the game you can get Feat tokens. These tokens are not disclosed until the results are determined. The value of tokens is to reduce by one unit the requirement of victory. That is, with two Feat tokens, a player can fulfill the condition of victory even if his clans are located in four territories instead of six.

The board game Inis is a game with the mechanics of territory control, which is based on drawing cards. The game is well implemented: draft cards, strengthening the hand by controlling the territory, balance when playing cards, several conditions of victory and the ability to stop the leader.
