DESCRIPTION OF BOARD GAME YOKAI

 Chaos has come among the Yokai! Japanese spirits are very concerned. Arrange the rows of monsters to quell them.

 Yokai is a cooperative board game in which players are not allowed to discuss their actions. Only thanks to a good memory and coordinated teamwork will you be able to tame the spirits. Players take turns performing actions, trying to separate yokai by species: kotsune, rokurokubi, kappa, oni.

GAME PROCESS

 At the beginning of the game, the players lay out the doliface yokai cards in a 4 by 4 square. Game participants cannot communicate. They use cue cards to convey some information.

 Players take turns. During his turn, the player performs three actions in the following order:

1. Looks at any two Yokai cards, then returns them to their place.
   
2. Moves one Yokai card. As a result of the movement, the card must touch another card. It is forbidden to divide cards into separate groups.
3. Opens OR uses a hint card. A player may reveal the top clue card from the deck and place it face up next to the deck. OR place a previously revealed hint card by covering one of the yokai cards. The yokai card below it becomes blocked. The hint card lists one or more types of yokai. One of these types of yokai will match the yokai card below the hint card.

END OF THE GAME

 The game ends if:

• instead of his turn, the player declares that all youkai are tamed;
• the last hint card is placed on the yokai card.

 Players turn over all the yokai cards. If all yokai are tamed, i.e. players manage to create contiguous groups of yokai of the same species, they win the game. Otherwise, they will be defeated.

 To measure their progress, players can score points for correctly placed and revealed clues. Advanced players can increase the difficulty level by increasing the number of multi-colored hint cards, adding affinity cards, playing without hints, laying out a certain figure from yokai cards, etc.
