WHAT ARE WE PLAYING?

 In The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game, your friendly squad, working together, must complete dangerous quests, exterminate the creepy inhabitants of the Darkwood, and explore the expanses of Middle-earth from the Shire to Gondor itself! If you were going to radiate rainbows and collect flowers along the way, you're unlikely to make it to the first forest fork alive! Get ready to overcome any tricks of the forces of evil and, opening card after card, get out of this adventure dry.

 The events of the game span seventeen years: from Bilbo's 111th birthday to the infamous days when Frodo left his native Shire. Let's immediately reassure those who are afraid of such story games because of the fact that they know "spoilers": the scenario provides completely new challenges that you can face in your adventure. Enemies can be waiting under each bush and you will either defeat them together or your party will also lie under the bush a little dead.

GAME PROCESS

 Each game round, of which there will be several, consists of 7 phases, which follow the following order:

• Resources . We collect supplies, look for allies, get information using resource tokens and cards.
• Planning . We prepare heroes and equipment, equip everyone with armor, items, artifacts, develop skills, play cards from hand.
• Adventures . This is where the most interesting thing happens - the test! We introduce the heroes to the adventure, open the card of the corresponding deck, meet monsters or quest non-game characters and solve the problem that has arisen.
• A journey . Explore the area around you - maybe this is what people go on the road for? Here everything is like in life: to open a location and travel there, you need to pay the cost of the trip!
• Meetings . In the encounter phase, we challenge our enemies or pursue them. We fight like lions, survive and move on.
• Battle . In this phase, enemies in combat attack, use their techniques and tactical tricks, thanks to shadow cards.
• Rest . A break gives the heroes a chance to rest and regroup. We update the cards, increase the level of threats, transfer the token of the first player to the next in line.
