DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME TRIAL BY TROLLEY

  We bring to your attention a game from the authors of the webcomic "Cyanide and Happiness", which was published on YouTube from 2014 to 2015 inclusive. Although the show was branded for its cynicism and immorality, it was very popular. To date, the number of views of the very first series is more than 10 million.

  Feeling the taste of success, the happy creators of the comic later decided to follow the same path, or rather go. Therefore, in 2020, they are releasing the board game "Trial by Trolley" - an absurd talking game for boozy parties, in which players are asked to solve the famous trolley problem in their own way.

  "Okay, okay," you say, "but what kind of problem is this?" Well, everything is very simple. To begin with, imagine a streetcar speeding along the rails to a fork. Now imagine that on one of the paths there is some tyukhtiy, and on the other - five fools. Of course, they are all extremely important to this world, but where do you direct the tram?

  In this game, everything is the same, only instead of abstract jokes on the rails, your relatives, celebrities, historical figures, as well as a bunch of nonames and animals perform. All these people who like to hang out on the rails are divided into two categories: bad guys and good guys. One of the participants becomes the shooter at the fork, and the other players are divided into two teams that are responsible for one of the paths.

  At the beginning of each round, each team receives 3 cards from the Goodies deck, 3 cards from the Villains deck, and 3 cards from the Secrets deck. Secret cards help players show the terrible side of a good guy or justify a bad guy.

  Now you need to put the characters on the rails. Each team puts 1 card from the goody deck and 1 captured goody on their path, 1 captured villain on the opponent's path, and 1 secret card on one of the two paths. The secret card is placed on top of any character. Well, then the most interesting part begins.

THE SHOOTER IS GUILTY

  The team members begin to convincingly explain to the shooter why he should send the tram exactly in the path of the opponents. At the same time, they appeal to his feelings, conscience, common sense, and you don't know what else, press for pity, threaten that the dead will appear to him in his dreams, and generally try in every way to break his spirit, which is as steel as a tram rail.

  After long (or not so much) thinking, the shooter makes his choice. The team whose characters were rolled along the rails will lose. Each team member gets 1 death token. A new participant becomes a shooter. After all players have been in this role, the game ends. The team with fewer tokens wins.
