What to do first?

Preparing for the game does not take long and involves placing game components on the table and getting chemists a starting inventory. After selecting the element family card and reserving it with their microscope, players must find the selected family on the playing field by placing the flask on the element with the smallest atomic number. Choosing one of the obtained scientific quests card one, players are in full readiness for a chemical race.

So how to play?

The moves take turns in clockwise order. Each player's turn is divided into two phases, each of which is divided into two parts:

1. During the periodic activation phase, players must spend or receive energy tokens to move the bulb and explore the elements. To spend energy, you need to put tokens on the periodic properties that the player wants to activate. The cost of activation increases with each successive property. Then you need to move your flask to the number of cells in the direction indicated by the properties. To obtain energy, you simply need to take away all the tokens from the properties by moving the flask in the desired direction afterwards. After completing the move and getting on the chemical element from the target map, the player investigates it by laying out his dice, and thus receives winning points.
2. During the upgrade phase, goal maps are updated and advancements are made on the element and science families.

You can earn additional winning points when completing goals and objectives. Goal cards put research conditions in front of players, and science task cards require a unique combination of tasks. Achieving the goals, players are rewarded with additional one-time bonuses that allow you to move the flask away, activate unplanned property and receive energy tokens.

When is the end of the game?

The game ends when one of the goals decks or two players has ended up moving to the extreme of the science scale. And the most experienced chemist will determine the final score.
