DESCRIPTION OF BOARD GAME CARTOGRAPHERS

 Brave knights go on a campaign to the northern outskirts of the kingdom of Nalos. You, as the main court cartographers, have to draw up a map of the new possessions. However, the capricious queen has a special view of these territories, and it changes as often as the seasons. Every 3 months she issues a decree that determines which lands she deems most valuable that season. If you manage to please her taste, you will be able to significantly increase your reputation at court.

 Meanwhile, the northern lands are not waiting for you with open arms. The nomadic tribes are clearly not happy about the alien invasion, so be extremely careful when mapping new territories... and always watch out for ambushes. Put as many valuable lands on the parchment as possible, and one day you will be called the greatest cartographer in the history of the kingdom!

WHAT IS THE GAME ABOUT?

 Cartographers is a family board game in which you can go on adventures alone or in a huge company! For a whole year (conditional, of course), the players have to travel through the royal lands, painstakingly sketch the studied surroundings on map tablets, receive gold coins from the treasury for their efforts, as well as honorary stars, the main task of which is to collect them.

GAME PROCESS

 At the beginning of the game, each cartographer should be given a map tablet, as well as a pencil, so that he can record his own observations. A game is one year consisting of 4 seasons (rounds). It all starts with spring. Each season contains 3 phases :

1. In the first phase of research, the top card of the deck of the same name is revealed.
2. In the second phase of cartography, players must draw on their tablet the chosen figure indicated on the open research map, while observing certain rules and restrictions. Players receive gold coins for some figures, but some figures cannot be drawn if all the instructions are not followed. In this case, one cell is drawn on the map of possessions, which is filled with any type of terrain, except for mountains. An anomaly card may be found in the research deck. In this case, everyone draws only one box with the terrain type. If a ruin card is opened, then the next card is opened immediately after it, and players will later have to draw one or another figure, overlapping one of the ruin cells on their tablet. When opening an ambush map, players exchange tablets and depict pieces with monsters on other people's possessions.
3. In the third phase, after counting the time indicators on the open research maps, the current season ends or continues. At the end of each season, players score victory points for fulfilling royal decrees.

WINNING THE GAME

 After the end of the last, winter season, the game is declared over, and the stars scored by the players, or rather the victory points, are summed up. Whoever managed to beat everyone and score the most points is declared the winner and the best cartographer of the year in the opinion of the entire kingdom.
