  Today you are a skilled warrior with a bright spirit and heart, sworn to one of the local daimyo nobles. Anyone who insults your patron must die a bloody death… but unfortunately, they won't do it of their own free will. Will you suffer an ignominious defeat or, on the contrary, lead your clan to the top of the hierarchy? The great and once mighty Ashikaga Shogunate is no longer the same, so the odds actually seem real. Will you use them in the battle for Japan itself?

  Being responsible for the life and painless existence of our own samurai, each of us will perform a series of moves during the game. Everything is not as complicated as it seems at first glance - let's act according to the following principle: we take cards from the skill deck of our hero and put the selected one face down in front of the opponent's card. Now unlock your skills and use them to move, defend or attack at the same time! Inflict so many wounds on the enemy samurai that he washes your shoes with thick blood and admits defeat!

BE FOCUSED - YOU WILL BE ALIVE!

  In addition to the normal skills, each player is given a basic skill card and a basic weapon card, which are never discarded and do not count towards the hand limit - they return to you at the end of the turn. Also, on your spiritual path, you will push away from the basic physical and mental postures defined by the Kamae tree.

  Everyone has their own tree, so you will move a token (kamae ring) along it, and while in one of its cells, you will apply the corresponding kamae effects from skill cards. You'll also need to keep an eye on your focus tokens, which can be used to pay the cost of some skill cards or unlock desired effects. The beauty of this game is that you actually have tons of options for different tactics!

SO HOW TO PLAY?

  Let's add a bit of structure to this article so that you understand what is here and why. During the round, we will perform 5 consecutive steps:

•    To take First, each player takes the top skill card from their skill deck into their hand, or a wound card if that deck is depleted.
•    Сhoose Now we choose the right one, the nicest one, from the hand and pay concentration tokens into the general supply, if the skill needs it. Not every card can be used: you may not have the required number of tokens, or you may not be in the right position of the kamae - play more carefully!
•    Open. Flip the cards and do what they need: pay mandatory and optional costs, perform immediate replacements, or choose initiative value for cards with variable value.
•    Play out We play skill cards: first with the highest initiative values, then with the lowest.
•    Cast. Let's discard the draw, apply some end-of-turn special effects, check the hand limit, and end the turn to start the next one!
