DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME SANCTUARY
In the board game "Sanctuary" - a bright representative of the European board school - your goal is to plan and create a modern scientifically managed zoo: a cozy home for animals and a stylish park for visitors. The game has 135 unique zoo tiles, representing animals, buildings and projects. In each game, you strive to find the best combination of available options to build the most successful zoological complex. Different effects on the tiles will help you achieve conservation goals and increase the attractiveness of your zoo.
Each player has a set of four action cards that control their gameplay. The power of the action is determined by the card's position on the track. One of the cards allows you to implement projects, and the other three allow you to place animals in a specific environment: forest, rocks, or water.
The Sanctuary is based on the Ark Nova engine, but many of the mechanics of its predecessor have been reworked and simplified, which sometimes creates surprises. Finding the best way to combine animals, buildings, and projects on your zoo map is a constant and exciting pleasure!
