DESCRIPTION OF BOARD GAME TOKAIDO

 To get from Kyoto to Edo, only one way is suitable for us - Tokaido - a large Japanese road that runs along the southeastern edge of the island of Honshu. You probably know that this is one of the main trade and cultural routes, and therefore we will have to meet many people on our way. Some of them may seem friendly, some suspicious, but in no case should you follow strangers and lose each other. Remember, we are the only chain that will not budge if at least one link is missing.

GAME PROCESS

 In the Tokaido game, all characters (travelers) are endowed with different properties. For example, the ronin Kinko can pay for a meal one coin less than others, the street performer Umegae benefits from any encounters, and the artist Hiroshige can sell his paintings and get paid for them. Everyone starts their journey from different points and have different amounts of coins. Players choose one of two randomly drawn characters and the game begins. There are no rolls of the dice and determination of the number of steps - you simply move your token to any cell to the nearest hotel, and depending on where you stand, perform the effect you got.

1. In the village you can pick up souvenirs for your friends and relatives. However, do not forget that your budget is limited. You can collect sets from souvenirs that will bring you victory points.
2. Stopping at the enterprise, you will receive 3 coins. By the way, you can give them to charity in the temple and get additional victory points.
3. Once you are near the hot spring, you can bathe in it.
4. Once you get to the parts of the landscape, you get pieces of pictures that can be assembled into one whole landscape. Accordingly, the more complete the picture - the more winning points.
5. In encounter areas, you play the top card from the corresponding deck.
6. Having reached the hotel, you stay in it, occupying the room closest to the road.

 Now you can go to the meal and wait for the others. In the Tokaido (Eng) game, the player farthest from the goal always goes, so you can't move on until all the players have reached the hotel.

END OF THE GAME

 The game will end when everyone has dispersed to their rooms in the last hotel in Edo. Throughout the game, character chips will move along the winning track for as many cells as players will earn by stopping at different sections. The player with the most points will be the winner.

CONCLUSIONS ON THE GAME

 Tokaido is literally a great game for everyone. Its graphic and illustrative part is thoroughly imbued with the spirit and color of medieval Japan. In addition, non-standard mechanics and gameplay will definitely add interest and excitement to all participants.
