DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME FINSPAN

 Don't worry, cats, you won't have to actually dive: you can see well-fed fish while playing table tennis! It seems like you've just sat down at the table and are already splashing around somewhere in the depths of the oceans, where life is teeming at every level — both in the sunlit surface waters and in the dark, mysterious abyss.

 "Finspan" invites you to explore everything here, collect your own collection of amazing fish and reveal the secrets of the underwater world. Yes, it is the underwater world - the birds from the game "Wings" and the larger, more lizard-like birds from the game "Zmiyevyr" were explored in previous issues of the series!

THERE WERE BIRDS, THERE WERE DRAGONS... NOW THERE ARE FISH!

 During the four game weeks, you will dive into the depths to find new species, observe their behavioral characteristics, collect eggs, raise young and unite them in a flock. The inhabitants of the sea are very diverse: you will meet predators, mysterious creatures with a luminescent glow and other species with unique properties. The game has over 120 cards depicting real fish species. Each card also has an interesting scientific fact. That's what you learned - you can take "Fish Land" as an encyclopedia when you really decide to go fishing.

HOW TO PLAY

 The game lasts for four rounds-weeks, during which you will complete a series of dives (6 per player in each round). Each turn will entail a difficult choice of what to order your diver: let him look at some new fish for you, or let him flap his fins away, exploring the depths and looking for interesting bonuses. Play fish cards into your play area and feed them with smaller fish, breed them, collect eggs to make your ecosystem flourish.

 During the dive, the diver descends three columns of your mat, which thematically represents the exploration and study of fish in their natural habitat. The deeper they dive,  the more chances they have to encounter rare inhabitants and gain additional benefits.

 At the same time, it is important to balance the development of your ecosystem: limited resources force you to choose between discovering a new species, raising young, or forming a school of fish. What will bring more victory points, what will be more useful? - the result will be revealed at the end! Achievements are counted every week, and after the fourth week, the winner will be determined - the researcher who has earned the most points for fish, eggs, fry, schools, and other special products becomes the winner.

WHO IS THE GAME FOR?

 Finspan is a competitive resource management game for 1-5 players with relatively short game durations (up to an hour). It is based on the solid systems approach of the world-famous Wingspan. Nature lovers will especially enjoy the game: all fish species and their characteristics are recreated based on real scientific data, which adds a cognitive component to the game.
