DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME MYCELIA

 Let's recall school biology - it is not for nothing that mushrooms are separated into a separate kingdom of living organisms. Mushrooms, which we are used to adding to aromatic soups, frying in sour cream, baking, chopping, drying or rolling into jars in a delicious marinade, are actually just the fruits of a large branched root system called mycelium. Just imagine what kind of threads underground the entire mushroom families create!

ONLY THE RIGHT MUSHROOMS HERE!

 Do you remember the joke about the squirrel that dried the wrong mushrooms for the winter and stole Depeche Mode CDs from tourists all January? The world of mushrooms, of course, is diverse, but even if you find some in this box, you won't tell anyone about it. Here is not what you thought, but a strategic board game about ecology and the environment.

 So let's not get distracted: now we will talk about it - strong and amazing - mycelium. In the game "Mycelium", our task will be to follow the great journey of each mushroom: from its birth to maturity, and then - death and rebirth. Spread mushroom spores to grow your mycelium network and wait for them to disintegrate to release and apply special actions! Earn as many victory points as possible and spread your mushroom gene domination to the whole world - that's already considering how ambitious you are!

HOW TO PLAY

 Each of you will have 5 small but thick tablets, mushroom tokens and mushroom spores in your playing area. Also, each has a mother chip of its own color, from which it will begin its existence as a mushroom. To do this, you need to put the mother mushroom in one of the zones of the playing field and take away insects or other bonuses that are available there. The field itself, by the way, is quite interesting in shape, consists of triangles and forms a six-pointed star at the beginning.

 In our turn, we have to perform two, necessarily different, actions. There are 6 of them to choose from:

• Let's move . By choosing this action, you can move the mother mushroom up to two spaces on the playing field, allowing you to spread your spores in the right places, collect insects and damage other players.
• We open . You can choose one of the three market cards or take the top card from the pile.
• We are investigating . We supplement the field with a new triangle and expand the terrain of the mushroom conquest.
• We grow . Spores usually spawn new mushrooms - spend spores of the right color from your spore grids, spawn new mushrooms with this action, and they'll reward you with new spores in return. What color spores you will need and how many victory points the grown mushroom will give is indicated on its card.
• We argue . We choose our mushroom and spread as many spores from it as indicated on it. Disputes can't spread just like that - we pay attention to the rules!
• We fall apart . Each mushroom can release spores only twice, after which it is destroyed. Turn over the card of such a mushroom, put it under the tablet and take advantage of its properties.

 As soon as someone fulfills the condition of the end of the game, that is, waits for the death of five of his mushrooms in a row, you can move on to the most interesting thing - let's count the points and find out which of you is not destined to be a mushroom picker!

WHO IS THE GAME FOR?

 Despite the entertainment component, this game can also be a great educational tool if your life's work has been to learn more about mushroom species, life and reproduction. The game is beautifully illustrated and it is quite crisis and conflict, so be careful: peacefully developing your mycelium somewhere in a corner will not work.
