DESCRIPTION OF THE CATAN: BOARD GAME EXPANSION - SEAFARERS

 Let's take a bird's eye view of the island of Catan - below us lie unexplored landscapes that so attracted the colonizers that they dreamed of getting to this piece of the world. On the vast lands, golden fields of wheat, green forests, clay mountains, valleys where sheep graze... The picture familiar to every colonizer is complemented by bays in which you can see merchant ships.

 The supplies are replenished, the gear is checked, the crew is ready to sail... When the island of Catan is already mastered, it is time to set off in search of new lands! Let those who sought a quiet life remain to cut down forests, pave roads and build cities. Ships from the shores of Catan go into the pre-dawn fog to new discoveries and adventures.

WHAT'S IN THE ADD-ON

 "Maritimes" is the first of three expansions to the board game "CATAN", which increases the area of the Colonizers playing field. In the base game, you were given an island with sides of three tiles, which was bordered by an endless ocean on all sides. With the advent of "Maritimes", the playing field was slightly stretched both in width and height, becoming 4 x 5, and receiving as many as eight instead of five hexagonal tiles along the equator. Thanks to the larger number of hexes, how the adventure map will turn out in each game has become even more unpredictable, but…

SCENARIOS

 ...But the most valuable thing that complements the game is the scenarios. They provide a certain tile layout that gives us a chance to immerse ourselves in the world of Catan and experience it with completely different emotions. In "The Sailors" we will conquer new lands and hide from pirates, build wonders of the world and make our way through the desert, master the island's terrain step by step, not knowing what awaits us ahead. Also here we will learn about the treasures of Catan and try to find a gold vein on distant islands. The addition opens up new opportunities for us: building ships and developing trade routes. And here a new type of terrain appears - gold-bearing rivers, and in the seas you can suddenly meet pirates.

 The rules for "Seafarers" have been updated in an unusual way. They are now divided into two levels: general rules that apply to every scenario when playing this expansion, and special rules that apply only to certain scenarios, usually requiring the use of separate components.

 Note: To play with the addition "CATAN: The Board Game - Sailors" you need the base game box "CATAN: The Board Game". This addition is compatible with other additions to The Colonizers, such as "CATAN: The Board Game - Cities and Knights". Anyone who is not indifferent to economic board games should definitely pay attention to "The Colonizers", because it is this game that has managed to captivate millions of board players from all over the world.
