DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME IKI 

 The magical culture of the land of the morning sun is so attractive to table-makers that we have not had time to recover from the bloody battles in Senjutsu, as we plunge into new events from the life of Japanese people in the Edo period (1603–1868). Now we have the life and prosperity of ancient Tokyo in our hands: we will visit the largest and most popular market, as well as guide various characters - in particular, artisans, shopkeepers, geishas and other talented residents of the city - to work on the main street of Nihonbashi.

 You will have to live in this picturesque town for a whole year. Will you become the best kid in town during this time, or will you be able to collect more points than other players of the philosophical concept of those times and achieve an ideal way of social life? Let's play and let's go! The language-independent strategic board game "Icky" will help you get to know yourself better and understand the ancient Eastern philosophy... at least a little bit!

HOW TO PLAY

 A trading paradise will bloom on the field of this economical board game for 2-4 players! Here we will display three types of units with complex names: oyakata, ikizama and kobun, which in practice are very easy to understand and remember - these tokens represent traders, order markers and workers. We will use them to open new benches in the four available warm-up locations and develop the city of Edo.

 Your game year is divided into four seasons, which in turn are divided into month-rounds. There are three of them in each season, but there is also a small additional round of the New Year. At the beginning of a turn, players place initiative markers on special cells, determining the order of the turn. After that, everyone can hire one of the shopkeepers or craftsmen (of which there are 5 types) and immediately place it on the shop floor.

NICHONBASHI IS A STREET OF TALENTS

 Our units will move around the field, interact with other craftsmen or traders, buy and exchange resources, make deals, during which we will use cards. Our goal is to reach the highest stage of the worker's development so that he retires and returns from the field to the stock. At the income stage, such a "retired" employee is very valuable, because he will bring the largest number of winning balls.​

 Our main strategy in the game will depend on which masters we choose. They will also have a chance to prove themselves in the event - to protect the city from fire or to bring a good profit. By the way, being able to defend yourself from fire is very important, because there are as many as three fiery "fires" waiting for us in the game, and we really don't want all our benches to disappear along with skilled workers.

HAPPY ENDING

 Once the thirteen rounds (including the New Year's phase) have been completed, the winner can be determined: count points for cards collected from various masters, for tobacco (if you have smoking pipes), for buildings erected and for fish - there are so many different ways to win that you definitely won't be bored anytime soon!
