DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME DEEP REGRET

 If you are somewhere near a large body of water, you better run away. You better leave this plank to the sand crabs, because inside… there is real horror lurking in it, not some vague fishing tales. Old people said: listen to the splash of the waves, the cries of the seagulls… old people advised: do not pull the line, as the ocean will suddenly calm down before your eyes. And you? Have you listened to their advice? The abyss knows what lives there under the thicket of dark waters. Believe me, THIS is not always meant to be seen by the world.

 The card board game "Deep Regret" will take you through the pages of canonical horror. Oh yes, the Lovecraftian atmosphere will suck everyone under the lid of the box as soon as you open it! Sailors usually stick together - the cooperative mechanics during this terrible fishing will allow you to feel all the hopelessness and shame for your own actions, which can really bring your team to the very bottom! We are sure you will like it! The game also has competitive and solo modes.

ARE YOU A SKILLED FISHERMAN?

 The next week (6 game rounds), each of you will spend on your own ship in the middle of the endless elements. You will have to do one thing: fish or recover in the port. There you can sell the caught fish (and not only), buy new equipment or visit the tavern to restore mental balance. Common sense in this game is far from the last thing you need!

GAME PROCESS

 The main thing that everyone will have to decide during the game round is whether they will stay at sea or return to port. After you do this, you will take turns: performing actions according to your choice. Of course, at the beginning of the round you must also complete the mandatory steps for its preparation: advance the day marker on the game week track, pass the first player marker to the next captain, remove all open fish cards on the field, and also roll the dice to find out what energy and resource reserves you have for the current day.

 You will mostly stay in the sea, where you can catch fish (spend dice with certain values corresponding to their difficulty level), check your gear (e.g. reduce the difficulty of the catch or increase the number of points per fish) or even go down to the depths (the deeper you dive, the more difficult the fish are, but they also have more value). Each fish you pull out has its own effects, which may not always be in your favor!

 We've covered the main actions of the port a little higher, but another interesting feature is the fish storage: players can lock the most valuable fish on their playing field for the final scoring.  Unfortunately, whoever has the most regrets at the end of the game will have to get rid of one of these fish - that's a real shame!

 The more regret you get from risky or unsuccessful actions, the more madness you will fall into. This is a direct threat to your maximum number of dice you can control, and therefore fewer valuable trophies. Count them after the last round and determine which of you is really knee-deep in the sea.
