DESCRIPTION OF THE EXPANSION 7 WONDERS: LEADERS - SECOND EDITION

 The first expansion to the 7 Wonders board game, which became the third in the second edition. At the heart of your city, great men and women inspire your people and elevate your civilization to the pinnacle. Choose them carefully, and they will contribute to your greatness.

WHAT DOES THE SUPPLEMENT BRING?

 Here is the Leaders expansion for the second edition of 7 Wonders. The box of the new edition has new art and is decorated with gold leaf. The set includes the Leaders Anniversary Pack and leader cards from the Cities and Armada expansions. Players are waiting for two new wonders designed for the expansion and a booklet describing the new effects. The layout has been redesigned for a better immersion in the game.

CHANGES IN RULES

 Leaderboard expansions introduce additional rules to the gameplay, but the conditions for achieving victory remain the same - score more points than your competitors and you are the winner.

 The game begins with the Leader selection phase. Just like with the cards in each era, players receive 4 Leader cards and begin the draft. They chose a card from the four in their hand and passed it to their opponent. They received 3 cards from another opponent. We choose and pass it on. After this phase, players will have 4 leaders. These leaders can be hired before each era.

EPOCAS IN 7 WONDERLANDS

 Now each era will begin with the Hire a Leader phase, followed by the usual Era Game Actions and Conflict Resolution. Let's focus on Hire Leaders. In this phase, each player plays one of their leader cards. A leader can be played in three ways:

• can be hired - pay the amount to hire the Leader. From now on, you can use the capabilities of your leader;
• use in the construction of the Wonder stage - pay the cost of the Wonder stage, and use the card as a marker (face down);
• bring 3 coins to its owner - discard the card and receive 3 coins.

 After this phase ends, we move on to the familiar actions in the current era. The remaining leaders will be played out before the next eras.

NEW MIRACLE AND LEADERS

 A new city is added to Cities and Wonders in the base game - Rome with the Wonder of the Colosseum. The peculiarity is that Rome does not produce resources, but allows you to hire Leaders cheaper or even for free (depending on the chosen side). The stages of the Wonder allow you to either receive victory points, or select leaders from the discard pile and hire them.

 Leaders will help you in various areas of development: they will support you in resolving conflicts or trade; they will evaluate the development of your wonder or financial condition at the end of the game; they will bring additional points for building sets or for a certain type of building; they will reward you with points for developing production or simply bring victory points.
