DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME BEAST

 This place can only look like heaven on Earth. If you enjoyed the clean rivers of the Northern Spaces and virgin forests, fearless beasts and fat fish in the cold mountain lakes, then very soon you will regret it, because you were not expected here - this place is already taken! The Wild Beast, who lives here long before your arrival, is ready to gnaw human bones in his teeth, and he has no desire to quickly surrender to the will of unnecessary hunters!

 Get ready for a semi-cooperative game for a modest company of two to four players, in which one cunning and agile character takes on the Beast's mask, while the others become brave hunters willing to do anything to secure their place of existence and to wreak havoc on the monster. Only to begin with, you will have to calculate it... The beast will be able to win if it eats a sufficient number of settlers, but the hunters sleep and see in their imaginations a rug made of the skin of a local resident and a juicy barbecue for the whole village.

DO NOT GO INTO THE FOREST WITHOUT A HAT. ALTHOUGH... HE DOESN'T WALK IN A HAT EITHER!

 To begin with, you need to decide what kind of Beast will pursue the settlers. There are six interesting options to choose from with asymmetrical capabilities. People also choose their characters, take apart tablets, ability cards and chips.

 Around the two-sided detailed map of the Northern Spaces, piles of components are gradually organized: markers of improvements, terrain, watchtowers, tokens of wounds and ancient power, decks of tricks of the Beast, items and actions will appear, but most importantly - a contract, the main scenario according to which events will develop. Preparation for the game is standard for this type of strategy — the authors tried to work out the rules in such a way that you can immerse yourself in them gradually and quickly find your way in case you forget something.

WHEN DO WE START? WE ARE READY!

 The beast will use the mechanics of secret card movement, and the rest of the players will focus their efforts on the selection of ammunition: a profitable exchange of cards and a subtle miscalculation of actions are the keys to a successful hunt. We will play exactly as many rounds as indicated in the selected contract. A standard round consists of three phases: dawn, day and night.

 At dawn , players use the draft method to select cards to be played during the day and prepare actions. Everyone will receive a certain number of cards in their hands, depending on the number of players, and will pass them around in a circle, keeping one for themselves, until all the cards are dealt.

 When the day comes, the right to move is given to the most important character, without whom the game would not be - the Beast, and only after him will you walk, taking turns playing cards, passing or fleeing.

 When playing a card, you need to pay attention to how exactly its effect is applied. The cards have markings: choose one randomly, if, then, copy. Each of these properties dictates the order or condition of playing this or that effect. You can say "Pass" only if no one has fewer cards in their hands than you. To escape one step, you will have to say goodbye to any of the cards in your luggage.

 The night comes after the players made successive saves. The most interesting things happen at night:

• verification of fulfilled contract requirements and receiving awards;
• resetting and updating item cards, actions, ability cards played, and Beast tricks;
• health regeneration;
• improving the characteristics of the characters.

HURRY, VICTORY!

 Do not relax, even if you managed to kill the Beast, or the Beast managed to eat the bulk of you - that's how it is with the main victory conditions, but we are business people, so we will not forget about the contract chosen at the beginning of the game. You can expect to win only if you successfully fulfill all the conditions that are there.

WHO IS THE GAME FOR?

 "Beast" is a strategic board game that deserves attention with just one setting. It is enough to imagine yourself as a migrant who is mastering new, previously unexplored lands, to feel like a visor against the background of rising mountains. Will a person be able to resist a terrible representative of the local fauna? Ask yourself this question before sitting down to the table and get the answer in the process! The game is ideally designed for four people, but it can be played with two or three.
