PD-Verlag

 PD-Verlag was founded in 1994. We started by publishing academic textbooks for German economics students.

 Since 2005, the publisher has included strategy games in its program, which are well known among board game players. Antike, their first game, was very successful and won third prize at the Deutsche Spielepreis. In the following years, they published more games developed by Mac Herds: Imperial (2006), Hamburgum (2007), Die Princes of Machu Picchu (2008), Imperial 2030 (2009), Navegador​ (2010), Antike Duellum. (2012), Concordia (2013) and Anitke II (2014).

 The strategic games of the PD-Verlag publishing house are characterized by the depth of the game in relation to the clear rules. Games have little or no luck factor.

 In addition to many top spots at the German Game Awards, they have also won many international awards. For example, various games have been nominated for the International Gamers Awards
