Flatout games

 Flatout Games is a collaborative board game development company founded in 2017 by members Molly Johnson, Robert Melvin, and Sean Stankiewicz. We are focused on creating innovative and elegant games. We like puzzle games with simple rules, high replayability, high tension and decision-making, usually with European-style mechanisms that are not lucky and require high skill. Player options and decisions should be complex, rules should not be. We love products that have a light footprint, are impeccably detailed, designed with clarity, simplicity and elegance at the fore.

 We have several designs in collaboration with designers, including the Cardboard Edison and LUCI award finalist Point Salad (coming Q3 2019 from AEG); Public Market (coming in 2020 from Talon Strikes Studios); Dollars to Donuts and Abstract Academy (since 2020 from Crafty Games); and Truffle Shuffle.

 In early 2019, Flatout Games opened its doors to create The Flatout Games CoLab. CoLab is an opportunity for the founding members of Flatout Games to team up with awesome up-and-comers in the board game industry and create cool stuff together. Our approach is to create the best possible experience by involving everyone in the entire process. We strive to develop passion in each of our employees through joint effort and shared profit. CoLab, along with members Kevin Russ, David Iezzi, Dylan Mangini, and Beth Sobel, will launch Calico on Kickstarter in late 2019.
