DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME ELIZIUM

 From the myths of ancient Greece, we know that the demigods often sought to gain great glory and equal in greatness to the inhabitants of Olympus. Suffice it to mention the mighty Hercules, who performed 12 legendary feats, and after his death turned to God and took a place of honor next to Zeus. Sung by the famous poets of Olympus, of course, is great, but no less attractive and Elysium - part of the afterlife, shrouded in the magic of eternal spring, where heroes and people full of virtues. That's where we will direct our feet to the adventures and waving of a magic wand. "Elysium" is a card game in antique-heroic setting, based on the mechanics of collecting sets.

TEMPLE OF UNSEEN BEAUTY

 The organizer of the game is a real work of art, worthy of ancient masters, which can rightly be in museums next to the statues of Hercules and Apollo. The upper branch is the pediment of the ancient temple. The maps below create the illusion of columns that close with a marble staircase. In this sanctuary, decorated with ancient columns, your glorious deeds and deeds of your friends will be immortalized.

PREPARING FOR THE GAME

 At the beginning of the game, each participant receives a tablet, four columns of different colors and the number of tokens of victory points with the image of a laurel wreath, which is equal to the number on the token of the order of turn. The last players receive according to the great divine providence (randomly). The place in front of the player's tablet is the Domain where the player will move the cards. From here they can be sent to Elysium, making sets.

 8 different decks are available to players. Each of them corresponds to a certain deity of the Greek pantheon and belongs to a certain family. The game involves 5 decks that mix with each other, like the waters of Alpheus and Aretus.

 A new temple is being built from the pediment, adventure tiles and marble steps. A little lower from the maps is the market square, proudly called the "agora". The fact that the  temple is a neighbor of the market, there is no blasphemy, because that's what things looked like in ancient Greece.

THE GODS DON'T GIVE ANYTHING FOR FREE

 According to ancient Greek mythology, human life is divided into five centuries: gold, silver, copper, the era of the demigods-heroes and the Iron Age. Therefore, the game lasts five epochs (rounds), during which we must do everything possible to achieve the desired Elysium. "But who is most worthy of this fate?" - asks your curiosity. The answer, oddly enough, lies in another question: how did you learn about Hercules? That's why you need to make legends about you. And the more majestic they are, the more chances the hero has to gain the favor of the gods. So, we go in search of fame and amazing adventures. Full of determination to embark on another great deed, we will try to make sure that we are more than once crowned with laurel wreaths (score as many tokens of victory points).

LEGENDS OF DIFFERENT AGES

 Each round consists of four phases:

• Awakening. Old market maps are sent for reset, a new market is laid out. In the first epoch this phase is absent, because in the Golden Age it was famous for its abundance.
• Actions. According to the orders of the gods, everyone should have 1 adventure tile and 3 family cards. Tiles and cards can be purchased for columns of certain colors. Players take turns making one purchase. After each purchase, the player discards the specified number of columns. Purchased cards are sent to the Domain area. While they are here, the player can take advantage of their properties in this phase. Being moved to Elysium, they lose strength. Cards bring money, winning points, send active cards directly to Elysium free of charge, allow you to discard cards to get something in return. The purchased adventure tile is placed to the left of the tablet.
• Birth of a legend. The order changes according to the numbers on the adventure tile and is valid until the end of the round. In this phase, players create a legend (set) by moving cards from the Domain to the Elysium. To move the card, you must pay the number of coins corresponding to the level of the card. The number of available movements is indicated on the strings of the lyre on the tile of the adventure. By moving the cards, players form sets for which they are awarded winning points.
• The west of the era. The marker of the era is shifted to the next division. From the temple, once built in your honor, only columns remain. But legends about your exploits will be passed on by word of mouth in the next epoch. Therefore, players get the columns back and return the activated cards to their original position to use them again in the new round. We can only wonder how this era will end and what events will mark it: the abduction of apples from the Hesperides garden, the sweet song of Orpheus or other events that ordinary mortals could not even think of ...

END OF THE GAME

 At the end of the fifth era, the game ends and the counting of winning points begins. The player who scores the most points, seeks the favor of the gods and goes to Elysium to lead a life full of peace and enjoyment away from worldly troubles. And when the demigod leaves this world, the legends of his exploits shine with dazzling light, like the chariot of Apollo, shedding healing light in the souls of the newly awakened heroes, turning their thoughts to Elysium.
