DESCRIPTION OF BOARD GAME TROYES 

 

 400 years of constant conflict have led to the construction of the Cathedral of Troyes, which began in 1200, delayed for four long centuries. The Troyes board game takes participants back to the construction of the famous Cathedral of Troyes. The players represent wealthy families from the Champagne region of France. There must be a difficult task in creating the most beautiful city that has influenced the development of Western culture.

LIFE IN THE CITY

 Players have to manage a society represented by three classes: peasants, nobility and clergy. Each of them is assigned important tasks, thanks to which the vital activity of the city is ensured, culture is established, order and protection of lands are maintained. The city districts and its environs are divided into several zones on the playing field: the Central Square, the Cathedral, the Episcopal Palace, the Fortress and the Town Hall.

 The hectic life in the city will require players to take action and participate in the development of the city. To do this, players must send their citizens to the three main city buildings: the Town Hall, the Fortress and the Episcopal Palace. Citizens give the player the right to take dice of a certain color and quantity: one citizen - one dice.

MIPLES - CUBES - CUBES - MIPLES

 Each player takes a set of dice according to the places occupied by his Citizens in city buildings: number and color. All players roll the Cubes and place them on the central square in their zone.

 The cubes in the central square are a payment for actions in the city. All Cubes are available to players - both their own and rivals. Your Cubes can be used for free, for the Cubes the opponent will pay with the owner of the coins. Players take turns performing actions using one to three dice of the same color. The round ends when all the Cubes from the central square are drawn.

PARTICIPATION IN URBAN LIFE

 By performing actions, players take part in the life of the city: they build a cathedral, protect the city from external threats and engage in economic affairs. All actions are aimed at gaining winning points, so players must build combinations of their actions in such a way as to obtain maximum benefit.

 Behind the complex explanation of the gameplay is a simple and elegant mechanics, built on combinations of cubes. To comfortably plan their actions, the player must take care of their financial stability and a decent reputation. The money will be needed to pay salaries to their citizens and pay rivals for using their dice. Reputation will attract new citizens and influence the outcome of the dice. In addition, both money and reputation can be transformed into winning points by using the properties of some buildings or professionals.

WHO IS THE GAME FOR?

 Troyes economic strategy is a great way to show off your skills in planning actions, assessing the situation at the gaming table and choosing the best action possible. The game is based on the mechanics of combinations of cubes: color, values on the border, the sum of values and the number of cubes for action - all this must be taken into account to make a decision. The game has a high level of interaction and competition, and hidden common goals and winning points keep the intrigue at the table until the last turn.
