DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME LE HAVRE

 The French city of Le Havre is the second largest port in France after Marseille. Translated from Danish, Havre literally means port, harbor. Cargo ships and passenger liners arrive here every day, and construction cranes are constantly unloading containers of raw materials and sorting them at berths.

 It is here, in the port and surrounding areas, that the main events of the strategic and economic board game Le Havre will unfold.

SHIPS CAME INTO OUR PORTER

 Arrange the playing field on the table, connecting it into three parts. The port is divided into the place of arrival of ships and berths, warehouses for storage of resources, as well as production buildings for their processing.

 Randomly place resource tokens face down on the appropriate round spots near the berths. Maps of production buildings that players can build or buy are laid out at the top of the field in special cells.

 Participants receive player, ship and color memo. A long steamer beeps and we can start the game.

GAME PROCEDURE

 The principle of the game is quite simple. Participants take turns, in their course performing 2 mandatory actions and additional, if desired. Mandatory actions include:

• Software. In this phase of the course, the player must place the chip of his ship on the nearest unoccupied circle of resources and unload them at the appropriate berth. There are 6 types of resources in the game: fish, wood, clay, iron, wheat and cattle, each of which has its own berth. As well as resources, ships can receive francs (money), which are assigned to the appropriate place in the field.
• The main action. In this phase of the course, the player takes resources from the selected berth and can use the property of one of the available production buildings. To do this, he sends his employee there, pays the entrance (if this building does not belong to him) and performs the action proposed by the building. Payment for the entrance to the city building is made to the city treasury, payment for the entrance to the opponent's building is paid to its owner, and you can enter your own house for free.
• Additional actions. If desired, the player can buy one of the available production buildings or ships. Also in this phase, the player can sell their property to the city. The purchase and sale price of buildings, as well as their properties, are indicated on the maps themselves.

RESOURCE

 Ships do not even deliver resources to the port of Le Havre, but primary raw materials. One of the tasks of players is to process these raw materials in the appropriate industries to obtain goods that can be sold more expensively. For example, clay can be used to make bricks, iron can be used to make rolled metal, wood can be used to make coal, cattle can be used to make leather, wheat can be used to make bread, and so on.

 Resources are transformed into commodities by turning resource tiles upside down.

BUILDING BUILDINGS

 In addition to purchasing the buildings described above, players can erect their own buildings. To do this, their employee must be in the building under construction, as well as have the necessary resources and goods for its construction, which are indicated on the map of the building. In fact, the player gets ownership of the building, as well as when buying, only in this case, he pays not in francs, and resources.

 At the start, players have access to two construction companies and a construction plant owned by the city. Other buildings, for resource processing or shipbuilding, players will have to build or purchase during the game.

END OF ROUND AND GAME

 At the end of the round, players must pay taxes, interest on loans (if any) and feed their employees. If you do not have enough money, you can take credit bills. If there is not enough money to pay interest on the loan, the player takes a new loan. Depending on the number of participants, the game will last a certain number of rounds, after which there will be a final count of points available to players: buildings, ships, cash and goods. The richest player will win.
