 Dangerous adventures, brave heroes, beautiful fantasy lore and just a wonderful fairy tale - what else can be said about The Lord of the Rings? There is an owner. There are rings. There are adventures. And enough words! The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-Earth is a board game set in J.R.R. Tolkien's universe, considered the best of its kind in thematic co-op, guaranteeing players full immersion!

CALLED A HERO? GO TRAVELING!

 So who are you today? Maybe the wise leader and first king of the United Kingdom, Aragorn? Or Gimli, defender of the weak? In this board game, you will go on an incredible adventure, but to start you will have to transform into heroes, that is, choose your wards. For the first adventure, the following composition is recommended: the robber Bilbo, the tracker Beravor, the musician Elena, the hunter Legolas and the two we mentioned first.

 The concept of "cooperative board game" suggests that all of you, present at the table, will pursue a common goal and reveal the secrets of the legendary world of Lord of the Rings side by side. Yes, this applies both to battles with dangerous creatures and to the distribution of treasures taken from these creatures. You will develop the skills of your characters, find sources of new knowledge and play selected roles in the story part of the game.

 Each party will be a separate adventure in one shared campaign. Test your strength: can you complete difficult quests and fight real evil, which will not even promise you a cookie for it. To complete the game, you need to go through all the adventures from beginning to end and reach the logical end of the story: either win or sink into oblivion.

GAME PROCESS

 From the beginning, install the Journeys in Middle-earth app on one of your devices. It will help determine the placement of tiles and tokens, as well as all the necessary game elements. Unlock this door: the application will show you the way, reveal the plot and content of future missions. It'll also control the actions of enemies and save your progress so you can sometimes get distracted and come back to the game later (although... are you sure you can do that once you've started?).

 The game will consist of a series of rounds, each of which has three phases:

• The action phase — let's move the heroes around the map, interact with the world, destroy the opponent.
• Darkness Phase - Enemies don't wait for you to polish your sword to a shine, they attack, move, and power up.
• Recovery Phase - Let's get ready for the next round!

 During the action phase, we can perform 2 actions, including repeated ones:

• Move 2 tiles in any direction. You can even move one tile, perform a second appropriate action, and then continue your journey by moving 1 more adjacent tile.
• Interact with anything, that is, search the location, find solutions to problems, deal with the threat. This can be done if you are in a special area with the appropriate token. We click on the right button and do what the electronic guide tells us.
• Attack! We choose an equipment card with a skill symbol in the upper corner, define a goal and pass checks, which mainly interact with the world.

 During the darkness phase, the monster performs similar actions: groups of enemies move and attack the targets indicated by the application. Even in the dark, heroes are "rewarded" with fears, and threat events can also be activated. This will happen when the threat level reaches critical division. If the threat scale fills up completely, congratulations, you've lost! Don't worry, no matter how you end the adventure, there is still a new journey waiting for you, which you will go on as a united team!

 During the recovery phase, we update the deck of skills, conduct "reconnaissance" and prepare certain skills for use.
