The Mists of Carcassonne is the first cooperative version of the legendary board game, in which everyone unites to defeat it! The fields are enveloped in an eerie fog, the sinister souls of the Cathars fill the map, and you need to prevent the ghosts from completely taking over the area.

 The game is a standalone game, but its components can be used as an addition to the basic Carcassonne. Nothing spoils the original rules - everything is familiar and familiar to us: laying out tiles, building cities, roads and monasteries, fighting for the effective placement of subjects. But now the game itself begins to put pressure on the players! Overcome 6 levels of difficulty: ghosts appear here every turn, the fog spreads, and the game throws up new and new challenges: will you be able to save the Carcassonne people from the invasion of inhabitants from the otherworld? Very quickly you stop taking all this lightly!

 But that's not all the charms this box gives us. Its contents can also be used in regular competitive Carcassonne as the Ghosts, Castles and Cemeteries add-on. Exploring new types of terrain is interesting: cemeteries act as special monasteries or gardens, castles bring extra points if you place a subject there and surround it with tiles, and ghosts turn into personal tools of unreal mischief. You can mix these three modules as you like, combine them with each other and the base game, or introduce them into the game one by one.

GAME MECHANICS

•  Cooperative game - all players have a common goal to overcome the game itself, rather than competing against each other. Victory or defeat is shared by all participants;
• Tile placement - players take turns placing tiles on the playing field, following the given rules of combining sides or elements. The result of placing each tile directly affects further possible moves and the development of the game;
• Modular field - the playing field is made up of separate modules or tiles each time, so the map configuration changes from game to game;
• Map expansion - during the game, new areas, tiles, or sections of the map are added to the main field, opening up new territories;
• Tactical planning — making decisions based on the current situation on the field and the possible consequences of the next moves.
