DESCRIPTION OF THE ANCIENT HORROR ADD-ON: FORGOTTEN KNOWLEDGE

 Before humans became masters of the Earth, the sky and stone belonged to others. At the dawn of time, the serpent people—children of the serpent blood—ruled the world. They skillfully combined science and sorcery to subjugate the will of primitive people. Their temples still stand amidst the forgotten jungles, and an eerie darkness lives in those cold halls hidden beneath a layer of vegetation. Now the ancient civilization of a forgotten race is awakening again—and from its slumber rises Yig, the father of serpents, to reclaim the world that once belonged to him.

 The Forgotten Lore expansion expands the game Ancient Horror with new plot twists. Yig's poisonous legacy is dangerous to body and mind. You'll find new mystery cards for the Ancients from the base game, dozens of new artifacts, powerful spells, and hundreds of unforgettable encounters. And at the same time, dangers lurking in the shadows of inexorable time.

DESCRIBE YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARDS SNAKES

 The rules remain the same, but this expansion changes the feel of the game and expands on familiar possibilities. In addition to Yig, a new Ancient, you will receive new exploration and mystery cards that immerse characters even deeper into the story. Playing with the expansion reveals the dark details of the myths, makes you look at familiar Ancients differently, and offers new challenges. Explorers will have to master new mechanics and skills to not freeze up when encountering an ancient horror this time.

 The Poisoned state can now prevent you from recovering health and sanity, even while resting. The Lost in Time and Space state has also been introduced: the investigator token that received it is removed from the field, and the character loses the ability to perform actions or interact with other players - as if consciousness is dissolved between dimensions.

 The new states provide a host of fresh tools for combat: new artifacts, assets, and spells that can come in handy when you're taking on the most dangerous epic monsters. At the same time, some enemies now require alternative combat checks, making each encounter even less predictable.
