DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME COUP
Our plan is flawless. By destroying the Empire's key bases, we will shake its power and free our people. To sabotage operations, they sent spies into our ranks, but soon we will expose them. In the next five nights we will change the course of history or perish. We are the Resistance. The empire will fall!
The Resistance: Coup is a parlor game about psychological deduction. The game can be played by 2 to 6 players. The party lasts from 10 minutes to half an hour. The Resistance was inspired by games like Mafia and Werewolf, but differs from them with a lot of game information for decision making, intense player interaction and no elimination.
PLOT OF THE GAME
In the near future, a corrupt government is run by the "royal class" directors of multinational corporations. Their greed and absolute control over the economy condemned the privileged minority to a life of poverty and despair.
Among the oppressed masses, an underground group of guerilla fighters appears, seeking to overthrow these powerful rulers. The valiant efforts of these rebels sowed discord, intrigue and weakness in the political circles of the new rulers, bringing the government to the brink of collapse.
But for you, an influential government official, this is an opportunity to manipulate, bribe and pave your way to absolute power. To succeed, you must destroy the influence of your opponents and send them into exile.
In this tumultuous time, there is room for only one - the one who will survive.
