DESCRIPTION OF EXPANSION CITIES OF SPLENDOR

 It doesn't seem like a long time ago that we've been playing the new board hit Splendor , and now we're excited to bring you an addition to this great game. Cities of Splendor consists of four additional modules: The Cities, Trading Posts, The Orient, and The Strongholds. Each module contains interesting features and makes the game even more exciting.

CITIES

 The rules for adding The Cities are the simplest, so it is recommended to start with it. Instead of the Giants tiles of the basic version, more expensive City tiles are used, and the victory conditions are completely changed: as soon as one of the participants receives a City tile, the last round is played and the game ends. As a result, the addition of the City significantly speeds up the game and increases the competition between players.

TRADING POSTS

 Addition Trading Posts symbolizes the opening of sea trade routes to India. The game introduces a new field "Road to the East" with five trading posts, each of which indicates its capture conditions and opportunities. Some trading posts have game-ending effects. This addition fits well with the basic mechanics, expands the game possibilities and reduces the time of the games.

ORIENT

 The Orient expansion contains 30 additional Development cards (10 cards of each level). The new cards have powerful capabilities and will surely please fans of the basic version. Luxurious and tasteful - exactly what was expected from an add-on with such a name.

STRONGHOLDS

 In The Strongholds, each player receives three Stronghold tokens. Now, when buying a card, he can either place his fortress on a market card, or remove an opponent's fortress from the map. A card with a fortress on it can only be obtained by the owner of the fortress. If all three of the player's fortresses are on the map, he can buy it as an additional action. The addition of the Fortress increases the interaction between players and makes the play style more aggressive.
