DESCRIPTION OF THE PAPER OCEANS: NEW LAGOONS ADD-ON

 The sea is turbulent, revealing secrets previously hidden in the depths. And right next door, in the quiet, calm lagoons of blue water, a separate, unique ecosystem is bustling with life. This addition to the game "Paper Oceans" expands the familiar world with new mechanics. Now your swim to victory is a little more complicated: some effects and rules have changed their effect, and new ones have appeared instead.

 The expansion features 12 event cards that give players a variety of ways to influence the course of the game and create unpredictable dynamics. Updated pair card effects will tell you how to more cunningly manage resources and launch your fish into the opponent's strategy.

FRESH BREEZE OF PAPER HORIZONS

 As you prepare for the game, shuffle the 12 new Event cards and create a deck. At the start of each round, reveal the top card to see which new rule will apply this time. Events can affect everything you previously thought was familiar.

 This has changed certain effects of paired cards: now playing two crabs will give you 1 card from each discard pile, and a pair of moonfish will give you the top 2 cards from the deck. The Aquatic Rodeo event will affect your swimmers and sharks - by forming such pairs, you will be able to look at the cards in your opponent's hand or even steal the pair in front of them.

 We've also changed the amount of victory points awarded for some cards and added new defensive and offensive options. For example, a coral reef can make a player invulnerable to attacks if they lay a shell card in front of them and sacrifice the points they could earn for it.

 At the end of the round, victory points are counted according to the usual rules, but an event card can change this: the player with the most or least points receives an event card that will only affect him.
