DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME PHASE 10, PHASE 10
The Phase 10 board game is a simple card game for the company. It's kind of like Seth, kind of Rummy Cube, kind of Uno, and kind of Poker. From each game took a little bit and came out a very popular board game Phase 10. The game is so popular that since its first release (back in 1982), it has been republished several times by different companies in different guises and with its subtleties in the rules. Here is a classic game Phase 10 from the German publisher Ravensburger.
GAME PROCESS
Players receive 10 cards. Each card has two values: a number (from 1 to 12) and a color (blue, yellow, red and green). The player's move consists of the following actions:
- Take a card from the deck or from the stack
- Lay out a special combination of cards on the table (if possible)
- Drop an unnecessary card into the stack
During the game, participants try to collect in their hand a special combination of cards, called a phase, in order to lay it out on the table first. After that, try to get rid of their cards in hand as soon as possible, otherwise at the end of the round they will be fined for the sum of the values of these cards.
WHAT ARE THE PHASES
In each round of the Phase 10 board game, players must collect phases. Whoever does it first will win the round. Phases are a set of cards marked by the rules of the game. There are 10 of them. For example, phase 1, which players have to collect in the first round, is two groups of 3 cards. That is - three fours and three fives (the color of the cards does not matter) - this is Phase 1. Having collected such a combination of cards in the first round, urgently lay it on the table. For example, Phase 5 is a series of 8 cards. A series is a sequence of cards, for example, from two to nine (color also does not matter). All other phases you will find in the rules of the game. According to the basic rules of the game, no matter what the round, the players collect exactly the Phase on which they stopped. For example, Vasya collects Phase-5 in the fifth round of the game, and Kohl still collects Phase-3, because he has not taught it yet.
SPECIAL CARDS
In addition to cards with numbers, the deck contains cards of the pass and the joker. We do not see much point in describing what these cards mean (smile), however, read the rules about the peculiarities of their use.
END OF THE GAME
The player who is the first to complete the tenth phase is declared the winner. If two or more players simultaneously complete phase 10, the winner is the participant who scored the fewest penalty points in all rounds.
