DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME EL GRANDE
The board game El Grande transports the participants to medieval Spain, where, despite the king who heads the kingdom, the state is actually ruled by the highest nobility - the grandees. Their interests are represented by players, trying to become the most influential in the country with the help of their caballeros.
GRANDS, CABLIERO AND KING
The playing field is a map of Spain divided into several parts. These areas are unequal - some are more important, some less. The value of the region is reflected in the number of points received from its control. Each player receives one large cube of their own color, denoting the grand, many small cuballe cubes and power cards with numbers from 1 to 13. Before the start, players determine for each "home" region, where they place their grand.
The whole game is divided into 9 moves. In each of them, players first auction the forces on their cards to determine the sequence of actions, and then send their caballeros to the regions, while performing special actions. The wandering king adds a special intrigue - his position determines which regions can be influenced in this course. Points in El Grande are awarded to those players who have the most subjects in the field, often the first three. The winner is the one who has the most points after nine moves.
