DESCRIPTION OF BOARD GAME INSIDER

 Do we really have free will? Who decides it? Are we controlled by what we hear and see, even when we think we are making free decisions? Insider is a game that deals with these questions. When communicating with others, you must find the right answers to questions or find an "insider" who is manipulating the discussion. An insider will do anything to hide his identity by misleading others.

GAME PROCESS

 Players are randomly assigned roles. One player is the "master" and they secretly choose a word from a set presented in a deck of cards. (In the rulebook version, they are free to choose and write down the word.) An "insider" player whose role is unknown to the other players will then secretly review the word. The rest of the players are known as "citizens". Citizens then have about five minutes to ask the wizard a yes or no question so they can guess the secret word. An insider tries to secretly lead the public to the right word. If the community doesn't guess the right word, everyone loses.

 However, if the word is guessed correctly in the time allowed, the master flips the sand timer, and the citizens and the master have until the sand runs out to discuss the game and identify the insider. If they guess correctly, they win the game together; if they don't, the insider wins.
