DESCRIPTION OF BOARD GAME LET'S CATCH THE LION!

 Why don't we play... chess, kids? - thought Madoka Kitao once and, in the company of a friend, another lady qualified in the subject, created a children's version of the Japanese version of this game. - Look, it's very simple, - said the professional sogists, - here's an elephant, here's a chicken, there's also a giraffe. 

 All figures go to one cell. Let's finally catch this elusive lion! Dads and moms then sat down, thought-thought, caught-caught, and they liked it so much that they didn't give the game to the children, but they got used to holding championships and tournaments from this logical safari!

FEATURES OF THE DELUXE VERSION

 The word "deluxe" in the name gently hints that this version of the table is not simple, but golden! Let's confirm, it's almost true: in this set, cardboard tiles are replaced with wooden chips - and to minimalism, mobility and other advantages, a local tactile happiness has now been added - such "chess" are really nice to feel and move from place to place, and and they wear out much less!

ANIMAL SENSE AND PRECISE CALCULATION

 Is the game childish? Probably Simple? This is another way to see! Well, the rules in it are definitely surprisingly transparent, get ready, now we will tell you all of them right here!

 The playing field consists of only 12 cells. We divide it conditionally into two halves and place four allied combat units on their six positions. In the center of the panorama, in the row closest to us, the king of beasts will rest on his laurels - the chess king, who has the right to move in all directions. To the right of him we will place a giraffe, which can only walk horizontally, the place on the left will be occupied by an elephant, which is an elephant in Africa and in chess, it will patrol the diagonals.

 All that remains is to hide all this formidable army behind the chicken pawn - and you can start hunting for the opponent's lion. For convenience, the directions in which the figure can move are indicated by dots on the edges of its tiles. For example, a chicken has only one dot in front of its beak, which means that this purposeful bird knows what it wants: to reach the edge of the field to finally turn into a queen chicken!

CLAWS INTO THE TEETH - AND INTO THE ATTACK!

 The fight, that is, "eating" the figure, takes place in the direction of movement, so it will not work to get confused, no matter how strong the desire to do so may be.

 The main difference from classical chess is that after a piece is "eaten" it does not disappear anywhere, but goes to your supply, from which you can always add it to any position of the field during your turn. The exception, again, is the chicken, which cannot be raised to a chicken just by putting it on the last row from the stock - it must go through the difficult path of evolution on its own.

LOGIC WILL WIN

 Catch the Lion or Dobutsu Shogi, as it is called in Japanese, can be won if your lion reaches the opposite side of the field without being threatened by anyone, or if you yourself drive the opponent's lion into such a corner that he there was nowhere to jump out from under the "chess".

WHO IS THE GAME FOR?

 This game was invented so that children can skillfully learn to play Japanese chess on an equal footing with adults, without being distracted by complex hieroglyphs. The creators recommend introducing children to it from the age of 4, but if you yourself rarely take out a dusty box with chess from the shelf and do not raise a child prodigy, then start catching lions a little later, for example, when the child is about to enter the first grade.
