DESCRIPTION OF THE EXPANSION 7 WONDERS DUEL: PANTHEON

 In the board game 7 Wonders: Duel, you competed with each other in building the largest city in the Mediterranean. In these cities, you built many temples, taverns, workshops, schools and stables, monitored the military aggression of your opponent and were ready to show your military power at any moment. But one thing was missing in the life of these cities - the ancient gods... The 7 Wonders: Duel - Pantheon expansion introduces changes to the game mechanics, which are directly related to the ancient gods of five different cultures. And two new Wonders of the World will complement the list of wonders in your civilizations.

PANTHEON

 Before the game, place the Pantheon board next to the military track. Shuffle the Ancient Gods cards and add them by cultural affiliation - 3 cards will be added to each pile. In the first era, we have to choose Gods and place them in 5 of the 6 places in the Pantheon. The choice of gods will be made through the Mythology Tokens received. These tokens are placed on the cards laid out for the first era.

 The round can begin. The player who reveals the card with the Mythology Token must take the token for himself. After that, he must take two god cards corresponding to the Mythology Tokens, choose one of them and place the card face down in the Pantheon. You can choose any location, but you need to take into account that the distance from the player to the god affects the amount of the sacrifice: the closer the God is, the cheaper his mercy will cost you.

SECOND ERA

 Preparation for the second era will follow the rules of the main game. However, it is worth paying attention to the following two points: you must place three sacrifice tokens on certain cards in the structure and turn the god cards in the Pantheon face up.

 The second round is different in that one more action is added to the three main actions of the players – activation of Pantheon cards. If the player decides to seek the favor of the gods, he must pay a sacrifice with gold coins or a sacrifice token, which can be obtained during the second era. Each god will allow you to use a bonus. Depending on the God’s affiliation to a particular culture, the area in which you will receive a bonus will also depend: war, culture, construction, trade, diplomacy.

THIRD ERA

 Remove 3 guild cards from the deck and add 3 cards with Great Temples. The card placement structure remains unchanged. But in this round, there is a race for Temples, which will bring a significant share of points if you give the lead to your opponent. For building a temple you will receive 5 points, but if by the end of the game you manage to build 2 or even 3 temples, the reward will be 12 and 21 victory points, respectively. Building a temple is not a cheap pleasure, but if you own a Mythology Token of the same culture as the Temple, then its construction will be free.

WINNING THE GAME

 The conditions for victory have not changed: either victory in military superiority - at any time of the game; or victory by points at the end of the third era. It is worth saying that new strategies have appeared in the game, and the influence of the gods and the construction of temples can turn everything upside down if you lose control of the situation.
