DESCRIPTION OF BOARD GAME CLASSIC ART
Board games today offer so much and cover such topics that you won't have to go to school soon: let's play a board game and learn everything! The competitive game "Classical Art" will not replace the lessons for now (only for now!), but one ticket to the museum - why not? At least, here you will definitely touch the high - there is nothing under this cover. Engravings, still lifes, portraits, landscapes and sculptures of many famous world authors are begging: take us to your exhibition!
In this artistic family game from the famous board author Rainer Knitsia, we will move from season to season and make predictions about works of art in different categories, and for this we will transform into exhibition curators. In each season, we will take turns exhibiting works of art, placing prediction tokens to gain valuable prestige points. The more we earn them before the end of the game, the more chances we have to win!
HOW TO PLAY
At the beginning of the season, all works of art must be shuffled and dealt to the players in a fixed number (depending on the number of players at the table) — 11, 9 or 7. We also open the top 2 cards of works of art from the deck and place them on the display of the corresponding color (to the cards with the "for hire" mark, special rules apply). Now everyone must complete one pre-season turn: place 1 or 2 prediction tokens on any unoccupied exhibit space, and optionally add a high-risk token to them. As a matter of fact, this is how the subsequent moves will take place.
On your turn: we display 2 works of art from our hand on exhibitions of the desired colors, and then we place 1 prediction token somewhere or double the prediction by placing as many as 2 tokens. Each player can double the forecast only once per season. The end of the season will determine whether the exhibition was small (4 or fewer works) or large (5 or more). After predicting a small exhibition, you only receive the prestige points indicated in the cells when the number of works in the exhibition is equal to or less than your prediction. For a large gallery, the opposite is true: your prediction will come true if the number of works is equal to or greater than it.
Make as many predictions as you have prediction tokens. At the end of the season, remove the prediction tokens from the cells and credit everyone with prestige points according to the results obtained. When everyone has only 3 pieces of art left in their hands, it's time for the final turn: everyone must secretly choose 2 pieces of art from their hand and place them face down in front of them, discarding the extra piece of art to the deck. Display the selected 2 works at the same time in the respective exhibitions and multiply the prestige points indicated in the cell by the number of tokens placed there - that's how much OP you will get.
This is how each of the seasons ends. Play until at least one player has at least 5 points on the prestige track of each art category. Calculate the final result and determine the winner!
