DESCRIPTION OF EXPANSION COMMANDS & COLORS: ANCIENTS EXPANSION PACK #4 - IMPERIAL ROME

 Imperial Rome is the fourth expansion for Commands & Colors: Ancients.

 All of you who own this game will already understand that Commands & Colors: Ancients is an expanding game system. A game system that allows players to effectively depict stylized ancient historical battles that are completed in less than an hour.

 This expansion features several battles that simply didn't have room to be included in previous expansions. The Romans fight in Britain on the Medway in 43 AD. e., v. Boudicca in Watling Street 61 n. e., and later on Mons Graupius in 84 AD. Antony and Octavian of the Second Triumvirate fought Cassius and Brutus twice at Philippi in 42 BC. But the main focus of this expansion is Rome's conflicts against the Parthian Empire, the Teutonic barbarians, and the internal turmoil of civil wars until Constantine becomes the undisputed Roman Emperor around 325 AD.

 Imperial Rome is full of unique and interesting gameplay concepts and new units: cataphract cavalry, camp forts, large units of mounted archers, ring-throwing light infantry, and more. Each of these concepts operates within the original system rules, with only minor changes to reflect historical opportunities and importance. So if you have Commands & Colors: Ancients, you won't have any trouble learning a few new special rules.
