DESCRIPTION OF BOARD GAME ROBINSON CRUSOE: ADVENTURES ON THE CURSED ISLAND
In the English fourth edition of Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island : wooden cubes are replaced by wooden figures (food, leather, wood); character tablets are made of thick cardboard; more than 450 corrections have been made to the cards for clarity and specificity; added a seventh scenario and a new guide based on the German edition. It is easy to see that the design of the box has been completely redesigned. In everything else, we have the same Robinson Crusoe with many awards and nominations...
LEGEND
As a result of a shipwreck, the only four characters who survived are on a deserted island: a cook, a carpenter, a researcher and a soldier. The goal of these "lucky ones" is, of course, to survive! We think you can guess that each character has their own abilities that will help everyone survive. It is not for nothing that such a motley company was thrown onto the island. During the game, you will have to explore the island, build housing, make weapons, and get food. You can survive only by sticking together!
Let's add here other components of a deserted island: bad weather, wild animals, evil spirits, possible pirate treasures, a volcano (what if without it?), underground caves and labyrinths, abandoned villages and temples and much, much more. All this will come to know and reveal secrets to these four characters.
ABOUT THE GAME
The game has several scenarios in which the game will take place. Among other things, the scenario defines the mission for each player. By the way, each character has his own starting set of things.
Robinson Crusoe is a co-op game, meaning everyone plays together. If by the end of the game all characters have survived and achieved their goals, all players are declared winners. If someone did not survive, then everyone lost too!
The island consists of 11 tiles. One of the tiles has a "reverse side" on which a volcano is depicted. Vulcan is used in certain scenarios.
Characters, Actions, Events, Mysteries, Threats, Predators, Inventions, Adventures, Accidents, etc. are represented by almost three hundred cards, counters and tokens.
The mechanics of the game are reminiscent of another large board game, Agrikol, and work on the principle of placing a worker on certain areas of the map during your turn. It is noteworthy that in this game the creators managed to take into account and exclude all possible disadvantages of cooperative games. For example, in "Robinson Crusoe" the cunning tactic of choosing a leader to whom all other players obey will not work.
