DESCRIPTION OF THE SPLENDOR BOARD GAME

 In the board game Luxury (Splendor), players will feel like rich merchants of the Renaissance. Players have to buy precious stones at all stages of their development, from mining to faceted jewelry.

PREPARING FOR THE GAME

 Separately from each other, mix three logs of precious stones. From each deck, open four cards in a row. This way you will have 3 rows of 4 cards. Above the cards open the cards of the nobles. Randomly select and open as many cards of the nobles as there are players at the table + 1 card. Sort the tokens with the jewels into stacks and place them on the table in any convenient place.

GAME PROCEDURE

 Let's start collecting precious stones. Believe me it is very interesting. In his turn, the player can do one of three actions:

  1. Take from the table three (different) tokens of jewelry (except gold). You can take the same tokens, but then you can take only 2 and only if there are four or more of them on the table.

  2. Book a development card. The player can pick up any of the open development cards or the top card from the deck. The player can have no more than three development cards in his hand. The empty space on the table is immediately filled with a new card from the corresponding deck. When booking a card, the player receives one gold token. Gold is a joker, it can be used instead of any jewel.

  3. Buy a development map. The player can buy a development card both booked (in his hand) and open on the table. By the way, buying a card is the only way to get rid of the card in hand. You just can't dump it like that. The cost of the card (how many and which tokens of jewelry you need to give) is indicated in the lower left corner of the card.

 The game is started by the youngest player, then the turn is passed clockwise.

BONUSES FROM DEVELOPMENT CARDS

 When buying a development map, players lay it out in front of them on the table. In the upper left corner of the card is the bonus that this card gives. For example, if a blue sapphire is shown on the card, then this player is considered to have one infinite sapphire. Now, when purchasing new development cards, the player pays the cost of the card minus one sapphire. If a player has many development cards, many bonuses, some cards he will be able to receive literally for free.

THE VISIT OF THE MAJOR

 To begin with, let's say that the game continues until someone scores 15 winning points. Note that some development maps show prestige points in the upper left corner. Here they must be collected. Scored 15 points - won the game. Now to the nobles. If your collection of development maps has become large enough, you can visit a nobleman. The condition of the nobleman's visit is indicated on his map. For example, 2 white cards, 2 red cards and 3 green cards. If your collection meets this condition, you take a card of a nobleman who also brings development points.
