DESCRIPTION OF BOARD GAME MY VILLAGE

 

 The board game My Village is a continuation of the family Euro-strategy Village . The game has preserved the spirit and theme of its predecessor, but the gameplay has changed radically. If in "Village" the players were residents of one large village, then here you have to establish your own settlement and expand its boundaries with each turn - and all this using cards and cubes. A unique time mechanic has been preserved from the previous game - as soon as the time marker turns on a special track, one of your residents will leave the job.

GAME PROCESS

 At the start of a round, the first player rolls a handful of dice. Starting from it and continuing clockwise, all participants perform one move at a time. The turn consists of three phases: the player takes the dice, activates one or more cards, and checks if any of his inhabitants have died. You can take 2 cubes of any color. The values that have fallen on them are your activation number. All cards in the game have a certain number: with its help, you can buy a card and then use it. For example, with the dice "3" and "4", the number will be "7". You can now buy a travel card or a monk card. There are only 3 card activation options:

1. Buy a card from the general market
2. Use one or more cards from your village
3. Activate the black banner with a question mark

 Any card can be purchased using the appropriate value and required resources. The game has 5 main zones - travel, market, artisan zone, church and council. Doesn't remind you of anything? Yes, yes, in the original game Village we encountered the same zones and a set of resources. In the My Village game, you buy cards and attach them to your tablet in the appropriate zone. We will build our village from scratch, adding all new maps and creating places for our "workers".

 This is how the game goes. Everyone takes 2 cubes in turn and performs certain actions. Various goods are produced in the quarter of artisans, and the same goods can be sold in the market. Traveling allows you to get victory points, and the Church and Council give both special abilities, victory points and, sometimes, resources with gold. The game ends as soon as a certain number of inhabitants die, depending on the number of participants in the party. Whoever scored the most points is the winner.

WHO IS THE GAME FOR?

 My Village  is a great family board game. It managed to preserve the spirit of its predecessor, while changing the basic mechanics and gameplay. Players will feel their way: someone will go on a trip or become a merchant, and someone will hit on religion. There are many winning strategies here, and all of them are interesting in their own way. The quality of the components is also pleasing: the game has a whole mountain of cards, wooden chips and cubes, and everything is done at a very high level. In addition, I would like to note the rat cube and the rat marker - they are very cute (especially if all your victory points are hidden in the house).
