DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME TICKET TO RIDE: POLAND

 While traveling in Poland, you can visit the ancient European cities of Gdansk, Wroclaw, Krakow, admire the castle and palace architecture, see the mountain beauty of the Tatra Mountains, visit the shores of the Baltic Sea, and even accidentally find yourself in a neighboring country, because Poland borders seven European countries.

 Ticket to Ride: Poland is an additional map to any base game from the Ticket to Ride series. Like other add-ons, Ticket to Ride: Poland has its own specific rules that distinguish this game from any other add-on. We should also note that this map has added to the line of games for small companies: from 2 to 4 people.

PREPARATION FOR THE GAME

 To start the game on the Polish map, take 35 wagons of different colors from any base box, as well as markers for counting points. Note that the player's required set is 35 cars, not 45 like the base games.

 Sort the country cards (these are new cards, you will find them in the expansion box) into 7 separate piles and place each pile face up around the field next to the corresponding country. At the same time, the top card in each pile should start with the highest number of points and continue in descending order.

HOW TO PLAY

 We will talk only about the specifics of this add-on. We are sure that you are already familiar with the basic rules of the game. So this app contains 35 route maps (train ticket maps) and 20 country maps.

 Route maps are used in the game according to the usual rules: they show cities that players need to connect by rail and get points for it.

 Country cards are bonus point cards that play a key role in the final scoring. The player who connected two other countries through Poland has the right to take the top card from the stacks of these two countries. If this player, or any other participant, adds any new country to this railway network, he has the right to take one card from the piles of all the countries included in this network.

 For example, the map already has a connection between Ukraine and the Czech Republic, as well as a connection between Russia and Germany. Connecting these networks together does not give the right to receive country maps. But if you connect these networks and add to it a connection to Lithuania, the player who did this has the right to receive cards from five countries at once: Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Germany and Lithuania! Not bad, right?!

 At the end of the game, the participants take into account the points scored for the completed tasks, as well as for the received country maps.

DON'T SLEEP

 

 There is a limited number of country cards in the game, and they are all placed in their stacks in descending order. Therefore, try to be the first to make connections between countries to get the maximum number of points. In the event that the stack of country cards is empty, you will not receive anything, although you will be entitled to it.

 Also, try to plan your moves so that you are the last to complete a connection between countries that someone has already started. This is the main "highlight" and "conflict" of the Ticket to Ride: Poland add-on.
